Yess. I was super into this video. I’d like to see the sophomore one too. It’s really cool that you’ve gotten pretty involved during your college experience. I admire that
The hockey games were best live sports when I was there from 2007-2011. It seems like basketball has gotten to be a much better experience since I have gotten there. Congrats on getting into Ross Business School. You should be able to pull a good internship and job after school from there.
Interested in your whole corona virus experience & how you did & are handling it- for example, how you felt & the whole moving out early in a panic experience
I can touch on that! It was quite surreal. I’m still paying rent for my apartment at school and I also didn’t fully move out yet. I’m lucky I’m not a senior who doesn’t get a graduation and that I’m not a kid who got their study abroad opportunity taken away from them. Grateful to healthy!
Hey! I got into LSA for Economics this year but I'm thinking I may want to switch over to Ross. I was wondering, how hard is it for freshmen to get in? I'm an international btw. Thanks :)
Hey! They enroll 80% of ross students freshman year and 20% sophomore year. Your gpa has to be pretty high freshman year and you have to be involved in lots of activities. I’d say it’s pretty tough to get in.
Hi! i recently got in for engineering OOS. I was wondering how hard it would be to add a second major in Ross? and how hard is it to dual major/triple major in general? Do i have to apply to ross if i just want a business minor? sorry for all the questions!
Hi! It’s possible to dual major. You’d have to apply to Ross for the major. You’d also have to apply to Ross for the minor. No one really triple degrees and if they do, it’s squally if they’re all within LSA or the same college.
Bella Jung Hi Bella. Thank you for helping so many students and prospective students. My daughter graduated as triple major a couple years ago along with a minor in music because she was in the Marching Band for 4 years. She didn’t apply to Ross for undergrad but got her Masters in Management from Ross ten moths later and that helped her land a job at Google.
I just got into umich nursing program but I'm not going to school with people from my high school. is it easy to make friends and find like a group of friends? Do you have an tips because that's one of the things I´m worried about
I've been interested in Michigan since my freshman year. My stats are pretty good but UM is also very selective, is there anything UM looks for in an application that might give me an extra boost when applying?
They also compare you to those in your high school so if you’re top in your class that helps. But also GET INVOLVED. I played lots of sports and had average grades. The teacher recommendations always are a plus, especially from alumni
I agree with both Bella and LaKaylia. Especially the "Why Michigan" essay, make sure you do your research because if you show interest in one thing throughout your admissions profile but you don't mention how Michigan will help supplement that, Michigan will note that. Especially if it's really easy to find the resources that will help you on their website, they'll really question why you chose Michigan and not any other top tier school.
Hey! So yeah I’m not gonna lie there is a lack of diversity. They’re trying to combat that and I’ve thought about that before. It’s definitely something I got used to and now doesn’t phase me really, but at the start it did a bit.
Tbh idk if you mentioned this or not BUT umich is a HUGE school so this is only ONE perspective and ONE experience. My experience was wayyyyyyyy different than hers. Do not take all this info for law
Yep that’s why it’s titled “my experience” these opinions are all my own and everyone definitely has a different perspective - not saying that one is better than another!
I just got my decision letter form umich and I was waitlisted. I applied to the nursing school. Do you know any nursing students that actually got accepted off the waiting list? Do I actually have any chance of getting accepted?
I was accepted into LSA this fall and I really hope things are back to normal by then!
Me too!

Thanks! Will be uploading that one in a weekish probably!

Yes thank you!
Watching all your mich videos because Im deciding between two schools, and mich is one of the options!
Go blue!
watching your videos make me so excited I'm applying this fall. It's crazy how fast time is flying by so quick wish me luck :)
It really is! Good luck

So so excited to attend U-Mich in the fall!!
Exited for you!
Can’t wait to here about it. I think it will help alot of parents & other students. My daughter was supposed to go to Spain in May so yeah 😫

Super hard. But its possible

What was the hardest thing to adjust to when you first moved to UMichigan as a freshman?
Probably balancing academic and social life. School is still hard but you’re trying to make friends at the same time
How many years do I have to pay out-state tuition to attend U-Mich?
I just got into umich nursing program but I'm not going to school with people from my high school. is it easy to make friends and find like a group of friends? Do you have an tips because that's one of the things I´m worried about
i am trying to decide whether i should join a professional frat or a sorority which would you recommend?
Go for both! You have nothing to lose!
Paulina Rajski do both.

I think fit and showing why Michigan in your essay is going to help you the most or why that major at Michigan specifically
They also compare you to those in your high school so if you’re top in your class that helps. But also GET INVOLVED. I played lots of sports and had average grades. The teacher recommendations always are a plus, especially from alumni

I’m planning on transferring to Ross from a cc, how or what can I do to make my app stand out? Any advice would be so helpful :))
I think showing why ross is more important than why Michigan. Talk about entrepreneurial things you’ve done and your interests in business
Put your personality on the application. Don’t try to wow them only with the grades
also, the lack of diversity in sororities kind of scares me; i'd love to join one, but i feel like they wouldn't like me because im different...?

They have the divine 9 and international frats there too. Its diverse in a sense, you just gotta look
Grace, respectfully, how are you "different"?

What coding class did you take that second semester?
I took a python and r class
I just got my decision letter form umich and I was waitlisted. I applied to the nursing school. Do you know any nursing students that actually got accepted off the waiting list? Do I actually have any chance of getting accepted?
I have several friends who have gotten off the waitlist for other random majors. I don’t know how it works for nursing specifically I’m sorry!
