    An important thing to remember about the personalities that you may have liked:
    Roosterteeth needed them, but they don't need Roosterteeth
    This sounds a bit before your time (given it sounds like Camp Camp was your jumping-in point), but one of the Core members of Achievement Hunter, Ray, left in 2014. Since his departure, he's done nothing but succeed and prosper. All that _without_ the trapped feeling he got working at Achievement Hunter around the time.
    If you have a particular favorite, they still have the rest of their lives to live. They'll pick themselves up and continue to create or entertain.

      One of the nicest things to come out of Rooster Teeth's closure is to see some of the personalities branch off into their own little channels and podcasts and make whatever they want without restrictions - It's really sweet to see. And nah, I know all about Ray, and I see him pretty often on social media in some twitch clips! Super happy for that guy!

    Don't normally comment or like videos because I'm a perpetual lurker, but I got recommended this and saw your sub count. I felt compelled to comment. Great video, dude! I've watched them beginning in 2012 with the Minecraft Let's Plays. Top tier content, and I can't wait to see what else you make!

      Cant put into words how heartwarming this comment is- Thank you so much! And after some of the early Achievement Hunter stuff, I can definitely see why you stuck around! You know you've got a good thing going when your Minecraft Let's play is enough to keep someone entertained for hours.

    Was a big fan of your Video! Miss old RT. I found them from Minecraft back in the early 2010s Also became most of the content I ate up in Highschool and after. One of the big reasons I got into making TH-cam Videos now is because of RT. Mostly Geoff!

      Thanks for the kind words!! And I'll admit, even as a new fan, there's a certain vibe to old Rooster Teeth that I cant help but love. During the production of this video, I started watching Achievement Hunters minecraft series (Actually watching Episode 10 - Wipeout Part 1 while writing this comment) and there's such a fun vibe with these guys in a room on a bunch of xbox 360's playing the funny block game. A vibe that changed, not necessarily for the worse, but was definitely different. And you could apply the same comment to many other old RT productions.
      Super glad you liked this video, and I hope you have a great day!

       @SatalineMedia I was genuinely a big fan of Achievement Hunter and many of the other game groups they would acquire during their grown era. The minecraft let's plays are some of the first things I found when I was 13. Then I just started watching everything let's play and Achievement Hunter. Would watch a lot of their content up until 2019. 2020 unfortunately made it hard to look back on a lot of that stuff without it being weird.
      I would say a big reason for me personally having stopped watching is it felt like they weren't making content that was meant for me after 2020. Followed by a huge break in trust with a lot of the allegations coming to light about Ryan and Adam and it coming to light how people were being treated. The general workplace environment in Austin sounded rough. As a queer it is really disappointing to hear a company I loved so much use terms like that and belittle people. I don’t think everyone in the company was horrible, but it's hard to say they didn’t have a problem with a toxic workplace environment. Funhaus never stopped being funny. They were funny up until the end. And I'm still a Regulation Listener Today. So I hope to find a lot of the groups I enjoyed will still be there. Just using different names!~

    Granted if Red versus Blue had failed back in those early years the company would not have existed, but Bernie himself said it in one of those final videos. The staff past and current are the ones who took the company as far as it did. Also Bernie said RWBY was the biggest show the company has ever produced and he gave Kerry credit for helping bring that about. Even before the DC crossover movies RWBY is likely one of the most recognizable brands across the planet from RT. I found RT through RWBY and seeing how many people all over the world talking about the show throughout the years is crazy. Some of my personal friends, on Twitter, as well as former/current TH-cam creators I found because of their RWBY videos. One of the actually got to intern at the company and on Volume 9 of RWBY and on Arrowfell.

    Long comment ahead, but i feel like part of the foreshadowing to the RT closing was Achievement Hunter closing months before, since most everyone part of that was doing something else to where they couldn't be in AH content as much to where it was just Michael, Trevor, Alfredo, and Joe for the most part, not helped with how the fan base, mainly the YT one, simply never giving people like Ky and BK not much of a chance.
    Only Joe seem to work for those people, though personally, I just couldn't enjoy him when he felt like another Trevor/Alfredo with his humor, though that may be because of the above reason of it just being them and Michael by then.
    Though I don't doubt the Ryan, Mica, Kdin controversies also played major parts in people starting to drift away from them and RT as a whole.
    It just says a lot when the least troubled department of RT was Death Battle, which they only had via merger with ScrewAttack years before they fully became Death Battle, since the worst you'd hear about them is about how one of their fights had a wrong result based on misinterpretation of information from who/what they were using.
    As for shows like RvB, RWBY, Camp Camp being removed from TH-cam, I seem to recall that happened earlier than when you said, since the explanation I remember being officially given was TH-cam demonitising those shows for no reason, as well as general algorithm nonsense, so not just RT making you go to their site just so they got the views, but the overall point kind of stands, though, it would have been nice to get official uploads of every episode of stuff like RWBY back on TH-cam before they closed, much as the people behind them wouldn't get anything for it as a result.

    The justice league x rwby crossover movies where the final nail in the coffin since nobody asked for it and the justice league members where nerf and dc fans didn't like it

    • @SatalineMedia
      @SatalineMedia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don’t feel like that was the nail in the coffin for Rooster Teeth specifically - I’m assuming the crossover was due to WB wanting to make the most out of their IP’s, I admittedly couldn’t see Rooster Teeth themselves wanting to make a project like that.
      When I do review RWBY tho, that’s going to be a hellish few hours watching those crossovers

      Also the fan base had been making DC and Marvel fanfic crossovers with RT content for years, specifically RvB and RWBY. WB and the RWBY creators wanted to do the project.

      @@SatalineMedia well, I shouldn’t have expected more. You are one of the “new” fans that Rooster Teeth chased to try and replace their original fans with that helped kill the company.

      @@SatalineMedia you should remove this guy from your comments man. you don't need that part of RT. Good video! As someone who found them around Minecraft ep 50, its nice to see more fans of it from the more modern era. I always felt that older fans more aged out of RT unfortunately.

    • @SatalineMedia
      @SatalineMedia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Dude, Thank you! Super glad you liked the video!
      Not going to act on removing the comment or anything surrounding that, I'm just gonna leave it where it is, but I would like to clarify something about the end of your comment (especially if some older fans look at this comment). I have seen a few videos from other TH-camrs or Tweets from old RT fans, and I see a lot of the same complaints that they miss when it was just the founders and a few select friends, and I honestly fully understand that feeling!
      One video in particular is from Christopher Cox (which you should definitely watch if you haven't), and when discussing the "Not Our Goodbye Stream" said the room was "filled with people I didn't recognize", more so in a negative light. And, again, I understand what he means. When you start to watch a small group of people's creations, you're going to be attached to those people, and when more and more come in it could feel like a bunch of people you don't know are joining your birthday party without an invitation. Great people, but damn that's a lot of people to meet. I think I just saw it from a very different perspective.
      When I saw the "Not Our Goodbye Stream", I thought it was kind of beautiful how few people I knew (I know I sound super up my own ass with this but I'm going somewhere). I've spent the last seven years getting to know all the people on camera and a fair few behind the scenes, so seeing even more of these people I didn't know gave me thoughts of "Wow, look at all these amazing and talented people that worked so fucking hard on stuff they cared about", which is more of my angle throughout the video.
      Case in point: If you're an older RT fan, I fully understand your feelings and emotions on this! Just know that I have a very different perspective, one that still includes me watching them in high school and ends with me taking something away from what they made- Whether it be joy, anger, confusion, or a little bit of inspiration.
      (Sorry this comment is so long by the way, I just wanted to thoroughly get my point across. Thank you again for the kind words!)
