Shouldn't hit corebit with spanner will dent tube then corebit won't drill properly and core will get stuck in bit

Well said sir. Better to do it with the flat side of a hammer; it shocks the bit sufficiently to makethe core slide out but doesn´t dent.

What would be in real time coring a hole 450mm deep using a 127mm core bit?

That’s what I’d like to know, I’ve got to core 15 holes at 150mm, 600 deep next week. I recon 15-20 minutes per hole…probably…I hope lol
