- This is how a Willys Jeep Mb Go Devil L134 engine is supposed to sound. Completely new production block from Jeep Sudest, new pistons, valves, and springs. All other parts are original reused from the old engine. Piston rods machined to exact same weight (951,5g) - which is way withing the original specification from 1942 which should be 5g from heaviest to lightest rod.
Crankshaft, flywheel, and clutch balance to 1.248µm og 0.442µm which is within the specification of ‘ISO 1940/1 Mechanical vibration’ that specify the unbalance to be under 1.705µm.
The reproduced engine block needed machining before it could be assembled - Honing the cylinder to make them perfectly round and with the correct crosshatch of 22-25 ra. Also, new valve seats had to be re-cut due to a casting fail and incorrect angles. The block had to be planned as-well due to small casting errors that would have made the head gasket leak, and all threads had to be retaped.
