Traxxas Rustler VXL (2WD) unboxing

I told y'all things got out of hand at the hobby store but maybe this will be worth it. Let's see hwow a new Rustler VXL performs.

I have been swapping out all my Traxxas ESC with Castle Creations. Its sad that Traxxas has crappy ESC'S. I went through this with my Mini E- Revo. The ESC over heats and then dies in short order. I am picking up the 4x4 Rustler VXL this weekend. It was used only a few times. Looks like an older gentleman owns it. I am older myself but I drive them like I stole them. To me, if I am not thrashing on them, they are not worth buying. I see the tires on that are the same as on the Bandit. I have the Bandit. The rear tires wear extremely fast on pavement. I am on my second set. I had to put bearings in the rear axles, too much slop in short order.

What all is included in the box? I know you get the remote and i think it said one 2s was included but what about a charger?

if i wanna upgrade my xl-5 to brushless do i have to get a new controller at all? i see mine only has one side button for steering and yours has two

Shouldn't have to change controllers if just upgrading to brushless motor. If you are changing to a non Traxxas ESC, then likely you would.

You do not need a new controller if you change motor or ecs. Even if you get a different brand motor and/or ecs

The controller only operates the receiver. That can be put with any aftermarket ESC. I use Castle Creations.
