I'll have to give that piezoelectric test to a piece of quartz, I've never seen that test done before!! Great video and thanks for sharing these tips!!
With pleasure🙂 Thanks for watching👍 Tourmaline is also Thermoelectric. The old Dutchmans used this property to clean their pipes from ashes. They call it "aschtrekker"
@@GermanGemcutter amethyst and other stuff some small precious stones.what’s cool is that I find a lot of oddball stones .the coolest thing to find in North Carolina is crystal clear quartz with black rutilation or tourmalinated streaks and my personal collection mainly consist of small stones but my big stones are all rutilated and are usually considered a weird stone to cut. I have bizarre specimens because I live on the beach whatever washes up from the trench’s is what I find and since we don’t know what’s down nobody says anything about gemstones being here I don’t know why because there is.
@@implausibleimpossiblehypot4006 Super cool, i love Rutile and Tourmaline in Quartz👍 Is it possible to see some pieces from your collection? Do you have Insta or FB? Maybe the most People dont realize how beautiful and interesting such Crystals with Inclusions are?
I love this valuable information but the background music overpowers the presentation and your voice is somewhat drowned out. It would be awesome if you could repost this with better voice-to-music volume control. The music actually isn't really needed, imho. Thank you.
How can garnet be magnetic, but not piezo electric? Where there is electricity there is magnetism, right? Also, how is rubbing it into a cloth equals piezo electric effect (isn't the rubbing usually a demonstration of static electricity, which is not the same as piezo electric effect)? The mineral has to be deformed to generate electric current, which is what piezo electricity is, right ?
Thanks for watching and your Feedback. I think you are right Buddy, so it would be correct to use the term static electricity. I collected some infos to be able to show people a little test for the gems.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with us! May the youtube algorithm bless your channel soon!
With pleasure🙂 Thank you very much and yeah i hope so😁👍
So would the rocks be considered stationary magnets??
As far as I know, yes
@@GermanGemcutter interesting

Rockhounding Paradies NC;-) It is always worth to take a closer look. What type of Gems/Rocks/Minerals you found?
