Make the pants! It's a skill you will always have so when you are ready to replenish your wardrobe you can easily do so. This is something I want to do as well but felt intimidated. I decided last year to start with some woven shorts this year. I have made joggers but the woven pants/shorts are of a different skill level.
Yes to making the pants!! I knew there would be someone else who could relate. It is so true what you said about being able to replenish my closet easier if I can just get use to making the pants! I started with knit leggings before going to woven like you did. I made a pair of shorts too. We seem to have the skill to make pants now it's just time to make some 🎊🎊 .
I totally understand. I make my own trousers now because of the frustration. Getting a good muslin out of a trouser pattern will make you never buy them again! For adjustable trousers, check out the Magic Pants by Ann Tilley Handmade. My favorite pattern is the Pietra Pant by Closet Core patterns.
