Lord Viren is dead, and I think the darkness has taken over Claudia, meaning that the Claudia Callum once knew; May be gone for good and what will she do next?

Hello! I really enjoyed watching this video. In a recent conversation on Reel James with the show's creators, Aaron mentioned that the upcoming season (season 6) will shine brightly and offer a deeper exploration of Aaravos!

I definitely think there's more to come. We only got one side of the story with Aaravos, and even though it was from the supposed 'good' side it still sounded like a typical 'history is written by the victors' trope. (Major red flag: "every crisis the world has ever known was all the fault of Aaravos." C'mon, take SOME responsibility, Zubeia.) Even if that part IS true (and I really hope it's not; that's such a black and white outlook that's really unlike the rest of this show), there's still something behind how he 'fell' in the first place. There's also the Key of Aaravos, which I think is way more 'key' to the story than just unlocking his prison (see what I did there). And then there are the statues at the Sea of the Castout, which are two startouch elves - one is Aaravos on his knees and the other Ehasz said was Leola (as in 'Leola's Last Wish').
So yeah, there's still more to unpack.

In the Season 6 teaser, Aaravos expressed the idea that all life originates from stardust and is interconnected through love. I interpret this revelation as symbolizing the enigma surrounding what Aaravos represents. Despite being a strong advocate for humanity, Aaravos condemns the unjustifiable racism imposed upon them by the Elves and Dragons. Interestingly, Aaravos, along with the Startouch Elves, possesses the ability of foresight, enabling them to glimpse into the future. In my perspective, it seems that every orchestrated event was strategically designed to bring about a resolution to the conflicts between humanity, elves, and dragons. The goal appears to be fostering friendship among them to end the conflict but capitalize it enough to destroy the Startouch Elves. What's intriguing is my belief that, in the grand scheme, these events were orchestrated not only to unite the different factions but also to facilitate Aaravos's return to the stars to destroy his arrogant brethren.

Aaravos is a crafty, ruthless and evil ancient startouch elf who is responsible for causing death, pain and suffering to the innocent. His favorite prey is mages, human and elf. He must be stopped or the world will be doomed. I hope to see season 6 coming on Netflix soon. I can hardly wait for it and see what happens next on another adventure.

What if that's the point? We're told Aaravos is "the most evilest of evil" and nothing else about him. But we're going to get the full truth about him when he gets out of his prison in season 6. Maybe he's a goofball who's only serious when the situation at hand calls for it. Or something else
You said once before that the show has a funny way of challenging our assumptions. There's a chance that the dragang is going to meet Aaravos face-to-face in season 6 and realize that Xadia just made a big deal about Aaravos for nothing
Maybe the whole message is that sometimes, something is only a problem if one CHOOSES to treat/see it as a problem. Aaravos has been around long enough to know life/the universe has a funny way of giving you what you want. Expect monsters and you'll get monsters

  • @josiahkeroff9965

I think it was revealed all the way back in season 2 (Though quite indirectly). I'm referring to the conversation between Calum and Lujanne. Lujanne basically says that you cannot see beyond your own perception. As you look back in time, you can see others perspectives, while in the present you can only see your own. The future is imposable to understand because your perspective hasn't followed the future. I think that the mystery of Aaravos is referring to things that haven't happened yet, and what his intention is with Xadia.

The next book is titled Stars, and the creators did confirm that we will get some more Aaravos’ backstory in that season. However, I do think they could’ve spend a little more time building up the mystery and hype surrounding Aaravos in seasons 4-5.
I understand that the creators said that they wanted to limit Aaravos screen time to make his moments in Through the Looking Glass and Infantis Sanguine more impactful. But we could’ve had a little more information given to us outside of the Reflections short stories on the dragon prince website.
If you haven’t read them, you have nothing to go on in terms of speculating what his actual motives or history are. I know they might be saving some of that for Book 6 or the Orphan Queen spin-off they’ve been planning, but I feel that a few more scenes like the one in Archmage Akiyu, where we get glimpses into his history without major reveals, would help to build up the mystery in the Mystery of Aaravos.

I think the mystery of Aaravos is not my cup of tea for a title. It reminds me a little of the secrets of dumbledore. Mystery can be anything or nothing. Currently Aaravos is a mystery box and i think the mystery makes Aaravos still interesting.
Sooner or later we have to open the mystery box to see the content. In season 3 we had the mystery box what whispered aaravos in khessa ear? What happened to Aditi? In season 5 we get the answer that she got swallowed. I was a little bit underwhelmed by this revelation. Therefore my expectations for Aaravos are not very high.
The problem of Aaravos is that he is too "mysterious". He is so old that not many people remember him. There is very few literature of Aaravos. Our heroes have little motivation to be even involved in this conflict. Aaravos is Xadias enemy, but the humans are not involved.
In s1 to 3 Viren was a much better antagonist. Our heroes wanted peace, but viren wanted war. Viren coined raylas parents and wanted to be the ruler. Our heroes had good reasons to stop viren and the conflict was personal.
Aaravos on the other hand is too abstract. Aaravos is Zubeias or Janais enemy. Our heroes are just helping out. Aaravos said some mean things but for me it is not enough. Our heroes have little motivation to be even involved in this story. If Ezran didn't invite Zubeia, the whole adventure would happen without our heroes.
I also understand that some people don't like that Zubeia told the whole story of aaravos. That it felt a little bit unearned. But i think it can work, if they make it like a detective story. Our heroes spend time to interview the still living witnesses and trying to find out the truth. Rex and Akiyu could a different kind of version about the events. Akiyu is a mage and give her perspective. Maybe a still living dark mage could give their view and so on.
I think it would be fun to theorize the actual mystery.

I think that the mystery of Aaravos is what the key of Aaravos unlocks

  • @supremeoverlorde2109

I feel like there's more than one core "mystery" the creators need to address regarding Aaravos over the next two seasons. But personally, the one that's been on my mind the most is --- what does he even want? Like, what is his endgame, and why? Because so far, we've seen plenty of Aaravos the master manipulator, but we haven't seen anything of just... Aaravos the Elf. We haven't gotten to see behind the curtain to look at the root of all this, his character, or what his larger significance in this story actually is.
On the surface, it seems pretty simple. We know what Zubeia said about him. And based on his actions thus far, we know she probably isn't ENTIRELY wrong. But at the same time, a huge theme that has persisted in this show is that no one is really all good or all evil. For the creators to establish a traditional mustache-twirling villain with no real motivation other than chaos for the sake of chaos would actively contradict the whole point of the series. So I think we're being set up to find out that it's more complicated than just Aaravos being the root of all problems between humans and magical creatures. And perhaps he plays a significant role, but not in as simplistic of a capacity as it seems.

There's a chance that Aaravos's goal is going the Occam's Razor route
In other words, Aaravos wants to get out of the prison because he just wants to go home

The series was epic at the beginning but then it became lame and boring nothing is added. It is being intentionally lengthened I think 💭 . Arravose should take a considerable amount of screen time but this doesn’t happen. Instead we have some subplots that are not even related to the main theme 😥 this is bad and the writers should be careful about this
