I am honestly super impressed with how much you guys have been able to accomplish. Not only have you reduced the amount of triangles by millions on the map, but also the AI the mech itself and also voice commands with the mech is super impressive.
I love Titanfall, Titanfall 2 is the first campaign I actually completed and I did it twice. It's so nice seeing game developers using VR's potential with Titanfall. I hope to be in a position soon where I can support you guys. But for now, all I can say is good luck and I truly believe you will shake the VR market.
Voice commands are an awesome idea. I'm sure the mechs will have OS voices too which will be really cool. Conversational AI would be absolutely peak tho, imagine having Titanfall 2 campaign style dialogue with your mech in a match 👀
@WataAlpha they already made a unity particle system joke, it's not looking good ;-; jokes aside I do have faith in them, this is a project of love and so far the community has been supportive, whereas with dani then he was regularly recieving death threats for taking so long with karlson. right now this community is small and contained, and has a rather wholesome feel which will hopefully stay the same as it gets bigger.
A cool idea for the effect shown at 19:11 would be for like a hacking thing where you have to solve like a quick puzzle or something to hack the wavebreaker to like disable the camera for a few seconds or one of the limbs or something. The effect really reminded me of the hacking and blackwall areas of cyberpunk 2077
I'm glad performance is such an important point to y'all. If the game rubs on the quest it'll likely be fine on most PCs too, hard part is making PC vr not look like shit to cater to quest cough cough onward. Excited bout your stuff

Also if you guys need help with guns maybe try hitting up Anton Hand, the developer for H3VR. That game has pretty much the best guns in any VR game right now. 19:11 Maybe you could use this kind of effect if a Wavebreaker's camera were to break? Maybe Pilots can damage cameras with gun fire or a specific gadget they'd need to equip that can temporarily mess with the cameras?
variety of game modes would be so appreciated, especially for people who are more fans of coop like me! the wave based game mode and conquest/capture game mode sound very fun, I'm excited to see how it looks like and how it works! I hope for single player or coop game modes, you include a variety of upgrades to be earned during the game (maybe a roguelite type upgrade system/leveling mechanics?). In contractors, although it's probably very fun in pvp against others, i tend to prefer pve or to play against bots. For the pve mode, it's a wave based game mode that has a few upgrade mechanics but gets very boring still due to how repetitive it gets (spawn, kill, upgrade, get overwhelmed, die before getting the cooler upgrades compared to last time), would be more fun if it had like upgrades within the game and outside the game to make the future runs run better for example. Playing against bots in contractors is ok, just very limited and eventually gets boring because shooting at enemies over and over will get old; call of duty and titanfall makes shooting a lot more fun cause there are kill streaks (and titans) which add a lot more variety to the gameplay. I'm writing this to hopefully inspire you guys in some way and maybe avoid some mistakes or improve upon weaknesses that other games had. Can't wait to see the next update, hope you guys receive a lot more support and coverage!!

I love the night version of the map and the idea for the fog lights on the wave breakers, so for the name how about crimson sands? Since there’s a volcano, would be cool if there was an eruption event which would block the sun with ash :)

Aurumulta, made of the words “aurum” and “multa,” meaning “gold” and “plentiful” in Latin. Perhaps a good planet name as it contains high amounts of valuable resources? Slapping Prime or IV in there is something cool too. Can’t wait to play this when it comes out, keep it up!

it is so nice to see proper reduction of overdraw with LOD instead of the nightmare on my hardware that is nanite the the horrendously blurry TAA epic wants us to use.
i know you all know what your doing but i think a really nice feel for the mechs would be similar to a game on oculus and steam called watchdogs, the mechs in that game are really nice and it could be good ref for the mechs "feel"
yes, please try to make separate versions for pc and quest, don't let the quest's power hold the game's capabilities behind. so many vr games i feel do that today, it ends up making a vr game on pc feel like it can be run on my phone, just that the pc version looks like it's higher res. blade and sorcery released a separate "nomad" version, that allowed the game to feel very polished on pc while still having a similar less advanced version on the quest.
i think the weird lighting effect could be used for looking at lights underwater or maybe for the wave-breakers. also the mount i want to randomly contribute a 3d model is way to high

Great video, if you guys are making it so you can call your wavebreaker will it also fight when you aren't controlling it, similar to titanfall? Also what about shooting cameras on wavebreakers? maybe heavy wavebreakers could have armored cameras and light wavebreakers don't.
What version of Unity are you guys using for the game? And also, if you guys are using pre-Unity 6, do you guys know of any good VR tutorials? I’m learning Unity for VR (new to Unity, already know how to code from other languages.)
We are currently on version 2023.2.7f1 I don't have any good tutorial on hand. If I remember correctly we just started with a blank project and added the vr feature package collection. I believe that already had a sample scene with a vr player. I now see that there is a vr project template so you should probably go with that.

I'd take inspiration from Counter Strike names like Basalt, Train, and others. Name it after the main theme. Archipelago would be good.
