Wow! How wonderful to hear you express yourself so candidly. You should look past all those negative people. They simply don't matter. Only God knows what their problems are! You've got fans who truly admire you and you guitar magic! All the best!
I really like her answer that competition is her pet peeve re: guitars, 'we're not athletes with ranked gold, silver and bronze, guitar players are expressing themselves'
I agree with the completion thing. The bar has been set high nowadays but just because someone plays slowly or not technical doesn’t mean they stink. I often find myself getting bored with the guitar gymnastics. Where’s the song???
I love Orianthi and she should never worry about the guitar trolls out there. They are small, bitter people. I doubt most of them even play guitar or make music of any kind.
Depends on the player. As said one of my students, beginners are playing China, middle players are playing Fender/Gubson, and professionals are playing something, that nobody knows. My friend was playing on 400€ NoName, but people were satisfied.)
Never liked her tone, it’s too digital for me, it rings too hollow, far too midsy and little to no low end. She’s technically good but as with many modern players that’s all she has: chops. No emotional connection to the riffs and not enough originality to make it as a “legend”. The “blues” she plays is formulaic at best, not the blues at worst. Being able to play scales and arpeggios at various speeds doesn’t make you a guitar player.
@@c1ph3rpunk idk, "Emotional connection" is how YOU feel about her but you could never know how she feels about her riffs lolol, that's just classic projection....lots of your criticism is subjective....fair enough if you consider her tone too midsy, no low end, that's true but claiming you know how she feels when she plays or writes? ..stop lol.... Originality as well, to a lamens she's no more generic than any modern "great guitarist", if you put her songs next to Steve Vai or some shit, most people earth couldn't tell the difference....Not like Hendrix or Eddie Van Halen, that's nonsense too.
I like the comment it is not a competition it is about self expression and we all do that in different ways with how we write and play music.
I liked that comment too 👍🎸
What a beautiful, humble, immensely talented soul! One of the more enjoyable guitarist interviews I've seen in a while.
What a breath of fresh air. Not complaining about everything, just a pleasant attitude! Great interview Ori!! 8) --gary

I saw Orianthi open for John Mayer back in 2010.
Best.lead.guitar.tone.ever!

I saw Orianthi play the Attitude Song with Steve Vai in Adelaide 2004.. she was only 17 and just awesome 🤘😺🤘
"The sound man can be drunk, high or passed out" !!!! I love this chick, so talented.

Even if you don't vibe with her music, it's hard not to like Orianthi.

I wish she had the talent to go with the hype.
and you wish you had her talent.
@@stratonut no but thanks for your contribution.

The hate lives on TH-cam...and it's just as strong and nonsensical here as it is anywhere else. Carry on though.
How about guitars with built in powerbanks 😄
⚓️ Thanks Ori 😎 welll … as far as competition goes… I’m thinking ‘Nita has won the Botox comp. Ori has the guitar sewn up. 🥸
