Cause Football(soccer) players have a reputation for diving, acting and trying to get opposing players booked or thrown out of the game.

The punch was loaded and dispatched on the bell and landed after...but in round 1 Kane was fighting for a fair few seconds after the bell until the ref dragged him off... wasn't a issue in round one.

If you look closely both fighters land a blow at exactly the same time: Reug throws an uppercut and smacks Kirill in the face and Kirill hits Reug with a wide hook. So Reung knowing that he was almost certainly going to get knocked out in the next round thought he was being an actor. Having said that, Reug is good guy and a very good fighter and just needs to grow mentally and tactically.
The punch was innocent, the dive was deliberate.

@@Max_Da_G no he wouldn't. Stipes is smaller than Grishenko, which means that he would not be able to block Reug's takedowns the same way Grishenko did. Fighting Stipes would be easier for Reug. Grishenko was too big and Reug Reug could not manhandle him and lift him up like he did against Boukichou. Even though Stipes is a high level UFC fighter who is better than Kiril, it would be easier for Reug to fight him because he is little, which means more opportunity for Reug to use his powerhouse senegalese wrestling moves.

Both threw their last strike at the same time and split second AFTER the bell. The DECISION to throw was just BEFORE the bell. The command from the brain was already going to the limbs when the bell rang and neither could have stopped. Can't DQ for this. And I don't think Grishenko had actually connected the strike. If it hit the throat, the guy would have REAL trouble breathing and would be holding his neck.
A Good fight with a bit of controversial ending, but i must say, having a body as big as kane's really spend a lot of energy and he might have gassed out during his wrestling exchanges, would love to see a rematch though to make a better conclusion.

If you look closely to the last second replay, that belarus guy did punch kane before refferee stops the fight and only after that reug reug fell down. I say it is a good decision by the ref.

Ngannou lost early in his career too. Reug Reug can still bounce from this, he just needs to improve his striking and train with actual amateur wrestlers. He needs to learn how to shoot for a single or double.

What control? Holding the opponent against the cage and being unable to do a thing from there? Not a single attempts to get into a better position for a takedown, not a single decent attack when on feet. He didn't control anything. It looked to me like he had no answer and only attacked when Grishenko got out of position. Otherwise he did sweet bugger all all fight.

Not only that this was brilliant decision by referee. It hopefully will help to develop Reug Reug to be better fighter. If you hit someone on bell-ring like that it is never instant DQ in any martial art sport. As it is considered possible to not notice the ring in the heat of the battle. That is the reason why Reug Reug was not DQed in first round, where he kept fighting after bell. But combat sports are dangerous as we have seen many times. If your opponent shows that he is not willing to stop at the bell you will be extra cautious next round and if he shows no intention of stopping again, you will just fight until ref physically stops you. Because you need to perserve your health and safety. And that is exactly what happend. He was given time to recover, which i find fair. But since he couldn't continue it became TKO. Since it was his own fault in the first place i find it correct decision. I would also agree with doctor stoppage and judging based on scoring at that moment as other possibility. Reug reug was loosing the fight as well at that time so i do not really mind that it was called TKO rather than the other. But i can see why some would prefer the other.
