I would easily say she is a great rapper, anyone who can spit lyrics like that in two non-native languages is going to get insane respect out of me. I have incredible respect when native Korean rappers get clean, passionate lines out in English. Jennie is a native English and Korean speaker by the time she went into training, and it shows. Jennie is an incredible rapper, however, what many pick up on is that some of her pronunciation is not as clean as Lisa’s. So many (and this is in a number of reviews) can understand every line Lisa says better than Jennie. Both ladies are TREMENDOUS rappers, and they deserve the places they get in BP. Lisa, she is the lead rapper for a reason so stop degrading her rap just because she is not as good as Jennie. Also many people can prefer her over Jennie and there is nothing wrong with it I’ve noticed that a lot of real rappers who reacted to Blackpink always think Lisa is the main rapper because of her pronunciation, cadence, swag, and flow is just more amazing. Kpop Stan’s always love holding on to ddu du ddu rap because Jennie rapped fast there but fast rap doesn’t mean you’re necessarily better. Lisa has so many different flows and tones from love to hate me, to how you like that, to whistle, to boombayah, to pretty savage, you never know etc. Because Jennie is titled main rapper people automatically dismiss Lisa’s rapping skills. But I’m almost certain that if both Lisa and Jennie had the main rapper title, more ppl would be saying that Lisa is the better rapper. Honestly speaking. I fell in love with Lisa specifically because of her raps because her dancing skill isn’t shown in Blackpink comebacks.
