Goblin Valley State Park Adventure: Journey into the Heart of the Goblin's Lair!

Goblin Valley State Park is located in central Utah just 15 miles northwest of Hanksville and offers a captivating landscape well-known for its unique rock formations. One of its notable attractions is Goblin's Lair, a destination attracting hikers with its unique features. The hike to Goblin's Lair is approximately 1.5 miles each way, offering a moderate hike with uneven terrain and occasional scrambling. Cupcake and I thoroughly enjoyed this hike, but make sure to pay attention to the weather - there is virtually no cover, so use sunscreen!!
We started the hike near the Observation Point within Goblin Valley State Park (the views of the "goblins" there is amazing!). Plan on spending 2+ hours out and back to allow the opportunity to absorb the surrounding scenery and fully enjoy the geological wonders along the route.
Once you reach Goblin's Lair, you'll need to scramble up a rock path that is fairly steep. When you make it to the top you'll be greeted with a truly unique experience as you make your way down into the cave. If you plan to continue on to Goblette's Lair (you should - it's only about 15 minutes further down the trail), you will be find another incredible experience (with slightly less scrambling!).
