I walked in off the street into O'Reilly's in St John's 3 years ago and Dermot was on stage and there were two other people in the audience...what a treat!
I lived in Torbay briefly and had a great view of the bay from my front porch, and would sit there often and sing this. makes me proud singing it wherever I go
Great memories of Dermot and Fergus. I see Fergus and Jim Payne play each year during my annual trip to Newfoundland. I remember seeing the Sons of Erin play years ago at The Strand Lounge, when I wasn't even old enough to, legally, be in there. Also lots of memories of seeing the the coastal steamers entering and leaving the different ports in Newfoundland.

I love to sing it
