Yay for Dogwood Canyon being in your top 5! I 1000% agree! Most peaceful place on earth. My husband works there and it never gets old! Anyone that lives close ahould consider a membership. You havent "chilled" until you've kicked by with a good book next to a waterfall. 😊

Yes, I totally agree with not budgeting enough time to be there. Doing so is like going to a huge buffet restaurant with amazing food on a half full stomach. A couple things I would suggest - don't forget to use your emergency brake when parking your car. Many parking lots are on the side of steep hills. Another is don't just dine at chain restaurants there unless you are a picky eater, save those for when you're at home. Branson has some of the most amazing privately owned restaurants that keep both the locals and the visitors coming back for seconds.

Great video, love the format and editing on this one.
Johns points are spot on as usual, but as a fairly frequent visitor I'd like to add a few.
I've rarely have trouble making last minute reservations, EXCEPT during peak summer weekends. If you have to see a particular attraction on a summer weekend visit then you will HAVE to make a reservation well in advance. However, you will almost always be able to get reservations to your 2nd or 3rd choice attractions at any time. So if you decide to make a last minute trip to Branson don't assume you won't be able to get reservations, just hit the websites and see what you can get before leaving home.
If it's your first trip to Branson drive the strip once just to see it, but do it first thing in the morning when there is less traffic. Get the back route maps they give away at every hotel, they're worth their weight in gold, almost.
Branson was built on Silver Dollar City, live music/live entertainment, the great outdoors and shopping. If any of these are your thing you can hardly go wrong with a visit to Branson.
Don't rush your trip, you could spend a month in Branson and easily not have seen half of what is available in the area.
I have been going to Branson since I was 5, for over 50 years now. There is always something new to see and do.
Having said all that, I do admit it's a love it or hate it kind of place, rarely will someone leave without having something to say about it.

Hi! I am hoping to visit Branson and specifically Silver Dollar City in September with my family, but I’m not sure if to plan for earlier in the month, or wait until after the Fall festivities have begun? Also, we’ve never been to either SDC or Branson, but would 1 day be enough to do SDC, or should I plan for 2? I will be going with my husband and our 3 little ones, ages 1,7, and 10!

How far in advance do you recommend in booking one of your escape rooms? We are going either June 21st or 24th. Also, when my family asked me what was the number one thing I wanted to do this year in Branson, I said meet you guys! I really hope you are there when we go! I hopefully can get your autographs and a picture with you both! Abigail 15

    Top of the Rock-
Go for the view or if you just want to show off by overpaying for hardly average food.
$80 for a steak you will have to saw with your knife.
Cheapest thing on the menu is also the best. If you don't mind spending $35 for half a small chicken

    • @TPF
      @TPF  ปีที่แล้ว

All games are family-friendly with no gore, jump scares, etc. There are some loud noises, dark areas, so it depends on the child. The Great Escape of Jasper Jinks is a great game for parents and their kids!

    SDC of course
Stampede -gotta say even people who didn't think they would enjoy it come out impressed
Table Rock- well just hope you're not one of many that die yearly on this overcrowded death pool
    Dogwood - beautiful
Sight and Sound -blow your mind even of you are not a believer
Landing- Park away from it and enjoy all downtown has to offer on your walk to the Landing
If you are from TX? - try driving the speed limit and learn how a 4 way stop works. Love y'all but your driving is the worst!

Recent reviews for Silver Dollar City have been horrible. Lots of complaints of incredibly long lines, understaffing, and people who pre-purchased tickets being denied entry due to capacity issues. I wanted to take my family for spring break, but it's looking like it may not be worth it. Are those types of crowds standard for spring break? Should we still give it a shot?

    • @TPF

Room for the entire family for less than most hotels.
