The quality and variety of the foods in the vending machines continues to amaze me! It's interesting how the restaurants are utilizing them too. Great way for people to sample their food.

And he doesn’t only “know a few words”. He was raised speaking English and Japanese. So, he’s fluent in both.
I was pointing out that he doesn’t talk much in the videos with his Dad, but when he does say something it’s accurate, to the point and has meaning.
In this particular video Eric says that one of the foods is tasty. He then looks at Mega saying, “it tastes good, right?”!
So Mega just looked at his dad and sad, “no”. 😆
One word and he still got his point across.
I do find it amusing that he isn’t a talker, because his dad is a talker.
Maybe Mega got that gene from his mom…? 🤷🏻♀️

There are so many varied items today.
It really showcases how diverse the vending machines are in Japan.
I really wish we had similar types here in the UK, but all we get in vending machines here are snacks like crisps or chocolate bars and drinks (non alcoholic).
Nothing you could make a meal from.

Its the same way in the US. only reason i can really think of for why they wont do it is fear of having the machines broken into

Would love to see you do a video on one the overnight Ferry’s with only food from the vending machines. These videos do make me miss my vending machine route I had. Had three self service mini shops in large warehouses. Like the few you have gone into a few times. Just had started to offer soups, sandwiches and other prepared foods right before the regular route guy came back to work. Only was helping a friend out for a while but it was a nice job. Always had something to snack on lol.
I think they did one of these.

Ingenious idea with the cheddar cheese fried lotus root. I make a grilled cheese sandwich where i fry chredded cheese to the outside.

I never try roasted tea before but I have try the cherry blossom or hibiscus tea the aroma is nice. Yes the 🍠fries an baked 🥔 was better then the small whole yam the poke fish look good I noticed it at the store a few months ago try it bbq roasted or charcoal grilled with a different sauce on it 😃✌❤

It’s seriously amazing and interesting content as an American to see the Japanese culture from a different lens. Nice father and son video. Karaage and yakisoba were my favourites. PS: I ranked it 4 out of 6 before you guys did ... similar tastes in this case.
One of the most delicious things was a Murasaki Sweet Potato purchased from a man in a truck screaming "Yaki Imo!". OMG! That was sooo silky smooth and tasty for something being simplistic.

Ngl, I thought the sweet potato items would be the ones I most wanted to eat, but that lotus root in cheese won me over. Crunchy cheese is a particular weakness of mine.
