Forgive my ignorance, but what product do you recommend for Phosphorus? I just happened upon your video and glad I did because I just found a bell pepper with rotten looking spots and when I cut it open, it had fuzzy mold. This is my 1st garden 😢

Plants don't need a lot of phosphorus. Any fertilizer with an NPK of 312 should be fine. This is the preferred ratio. As for your pepper that sounds like insect damage. I put all my pepper plants in containers and put the container on tables. Keeps the crawling bugs away.

Thank you so much for this!!! I live in Las Vegas and bad internet advice is almost worse for my plants than the weather in July.

I had a zucchini plant that was only putting out fruits that got blossom end rot so I went to utube and heard it was a calcium deficiency. I got the soil amended with calcium and it stopped very quickly BUT in afterthought, it was the wounding that I did to the plant that caused the problem…..i had been trimming its leaves rather vigorously and it was still pretty small and when i stopped for a week or so the same time i added the amended soil around it , it started putting out nice fruit. Thanks for the eye opener…..

Calcium with not help. The first round of fruits for zucchini, tomatoes, and peppers will often get BER even if you are doing nothing wrong, but the second round of fruits will not. Even if you change nothing. It's very common. Check they are getting proper watering, not too much sun, and good soil. If so, just wait. The problem will often go away on its own.

Which test kits do you recommend for ph levels in the soil?

You know I haven't found a home kit I really like. I will keep an eye out for one and if I find one I'll do a video about it. Thanks for the idea.
