those springs were aways an issue, doors flipping down, but you can hold them open by putting your fingers trough the windows and make it fly. the slide out lasers were always floppy 2.
I don't have my M.A.S.K. toys any more, which is a real shame. I wonder how something like Thunderhawk would scale with Transformers Human Alliance figs and vehicles. And I would have liked a Human Alliance Optimus...
By the way, you can load the missiles a little easier by using the tip of the missiles and aligning it to the gap in front of the catch and then following through by putting in the back. Also, i used to take out the doors to give the car little convertible look
Peaugh did you have any of the C.O.P.S. figures or did you ever? I believe hasbro put them out too. or kenner maybe. I had Buttons McBoomBoom and Beserk/Beserker in like 1987 or so. I'd love to see those on your channel or even resurge back to the surface in retail as reproductions
Well they kinda did in the IDW comics. They first appeared during the Revolution event. Though I wish they started a new toyline, these look really sweet.

So this kind of cool thing happened... I have been watching these videos the last several days thinking "I wish I had these when I was a kid" and similar... then today I see this video and realize I DID! Well... I had this one, and it was incomplete, but still... I know it must have been second hand because I think these things came out the year I was born. I don't remember where it came from or how I got it, but I remembered it just from the pic in the thumbnail. Anyway, thanks for the cool memory. I had completely forgotten it until I saw this, and now I know what it is and where it came from! Awesome! PS: If anyone remembers small toy cars the size of hotwheels, but all plastic, that transformed from a normal car into a hot rod, please let me know what they were called/who made them! I have been looking for them for years, but haven't been able to find them. I remember a pink 57' chevy convertible that turned into a 57' hot rod with side pipes and a big intake on the hood. There were others too. Any ideas? Thanks...
This was my favorite Mask vehicle ( although, to be honest, it was the ONLY one I had)..Ill admit my nostolgia glasses were on tight before I saw this vid...still, this was a fun part of my childhood and I would love to get it again. Thank you for reviewing it . By the by, everytime I see this vehicle I remember the MASK PSA where the kid that rides the robot wanted to get driven to a store a few blocks but didnt want to put his seatbelt on and Mat Tracker told him that most auto accidents took place a few blocks from home...they must have lived in a VERRRRY bad area full of horrible drivers if that was true because I have rarely ever seen or heard of accidents anywhere near where I have lived, and I have been all over :)
Oddly, my Tracker had a mask that never had the little rectangular piece that come down on his chest, it was JUST the helmwy, like on the show. Besides mine, I have never sern a version of him without the extra little piece. It makes me wonder which was version 2.
Haha, i don't know if it would have made that much of a difference if a kid wanted to eat Spectrum. Still, I'm glad i have the v1. I've really been enjoying these. A great throwback to a series and line that never got enough love. Can't wait for Switchblade. And here's hoping you scored Boulder Hill. I still have mine, worn as it is and that was a terrific set. Mind you, Alex's arm broke off, was glued on and no longer moves but Buddy is great,lol! Thanks for sharing these.

The one and only set i had when i was young. It disappeared in the order of bombs, mask, Matt, wings and finally the whole car
That toy and Rhino were the only M.A.S.K. toys I had and they were a lot of fun, sadly Thunderhawk was quite fragile and didn't last long.
Now I want to get my M.A.S.K. toys, but they're a minor pain to get.

I remember seeing both Matt and Thunderhawk in a episode of Twisted Toyfare Theater. Getting arrested by CHiP Megos. Gosh I miss Toyfare.

The larger mask was version 2. They added bits to keep them from becoming choking hazards.
