Great job with this harley I really like custom videos like this. What a coincidence is that I made a custom harley myself this week with the same crazytoys figure and the same head sculpt. But what you have done is next level I would like that I could paint so well. What you've done with the mouth is really creative too. I was also thinking about using a tbleague body and putting those tattoos on it but I chose to use the knock off figure. adjust the legs because they were much too thick then I sanded them and put on the same fishnets. for the head I cut off the neck with a hot chisel so that the other head fits on it. I am also working on a some custom figures including tomb raider angelina jolie / black widow /scarlet witch / jax from sons of anarchy and more. Keep it up I look forward to your next videos
Ayy, that's cool! Glad we got the same idea. It wasn't a hard repaint, really just 3 colors with different sizes circles, and it made a big difference. You should try it! I'm sure it will elevate the quality of all your customs.

6:11 except for silicone itself. You could've mixed paint with liquid silicone and used that, but the method you ended up using turned out to be the better option 👍
I have always wanted to paint with silicone paint but I don't know where to look. Do you have any brands to recommend?
@@zedabyu unfortunately I don't know any good ones, seeing as I've never actually done it myself. I just know about the silicone paint method from watching people repaint Michael Myers masks here on TH-cam, so if you look them up you should find the brand they use. I recommend channels like Cosplay Chris and Deanknight333🙂

Great work! I have no idea how you keep your hands so steady and precise for the eyes. Maybe I need more practice and less coffee before. Are those bodies silicone or tpe/tpu? From a paint perspective, the only thing that sticks to silicone is more coloured silicone. But it's also the best way to ruin an airbrush. Even then, I don't have enough experience to know how permanent it would be. Great vid
Hmm idk, steadiness has never been an issue but I guess if your hands are shaking you could place it on the table instead of holding it up. There are magnifying glasses available so you don't need to put it close to your face either. I got one but didn't get the chance to use it. As for the bodies, I am not really sure? They might be TPU. Do you think silicone can stick to TPU? I would love to modify the body with my mold making silicone but initial testing seems to be failing...
@@zedabyu I'll have to pull out the paints and give it a shot :) tpe/tpu are reactive with silicone, so will not adhere to each other and don't play well together. If you are doing your heads in silicone though, you can paint on them with a cheap airbrush, and additional silicone with colour mixed in. I am by no means really knowledgeable here so definitely do your own research before ruining a head, body or airbrush :)

My friends are into warhammer and they showed me something that gets rid of the shiny bit on the decals. Not sure what it's called but you couldn't see it at all
Great work, above and beyond. Ok so the tattoos escaped, good to know thank you for conducting the experiment. I had the dye transfer problem. Funny how it's the only thing that sticks.(as well as orange Sharpie) Tried Alcohols, detergents, and even hydrogen peroxide still the blue legs remain.
Tried a cover up with oil pastels (read a blog) didn't do anything. Not tried chalky pastels as I guess it's a messy temporary thing. Or synthetic fabric dye(as I've only just heard of it)

Haha yeah it's funny, which also proves that fabric dye works well on the body. I heard that zit creams like Oxy10 could remove the stains, but I have not tried it. And I wouldn't trust the images that eBay sellers put to advertise those recasts. It's better to search for images online to see what people really received so as to have a better gauge on what you'll be getting.

I think well lit photos of head sculpts in China are a taboo.
I'm thinking of recasting a lddoll onto a jiaou skeleton. What could possibly go wrong.

@@zedabyu to be honest I was expecting better. (28xl) The knees and hips use something like the bendy metal coil stuff. (Stands for 1/12 and flexy desk lamps) the hips bend in the wrong place with a curve extending down the thigh , the knees can bend sideways. The mold line is still visible around the body. The paint looks good. The detail has I think an extra part glued on. The hands are strange not as stiff as I was expecting, do anything with the doll and they will be in every direction. Feet are the usual sharp bit on metal extending halfway down the foot good luck standing. Very stiff ankles.i thought they were solid.
(22s) similar story, the elbows have that strange coil stuff in. Went for the unboned fingers, hand is like jelly.
My plan involves put 28xl onto clay , pour Paris plaster, flip pour again. Remove 28xl. Make holes for filling Get normal skeleton jiaou or whatever place inside plaster fill hand and foot void with clay pour
Silicone.
There are still details I've not resolved yet, bubbles , fill holes. How to trim seams .
@@crazygeorgelincoln Sounds like a big project, how exciting!!! What silicone will you be using though? I would love to make my own seamless body but just gotta know which silicone/tpu/tpe is most durable and won't crack. And wouldn't phicen/tbleague skeleton be better? If I am not wrong, Jiaou dolls don't have full metal skeletons, but they might have changed that.
