Hey Jay, I thought you film these for me too (saw the reply to Shamrock). Just kidding. These are awesome!!! Lovely departures and arrivals. Always indeed a pleasure to view. I like the ATC too. Well done!!!
Thnx much, TG1717. I have entered a new chapter of my life here for a bit and won't be making anything new for a while. I still plan to be very active watching many videos and commenting(!) soon after my current class wraps up though.
I'm always amazed at the unique skill that these professional pilots, especially those certified to fly jumbo jets, (heavies), exhibit when landing their aircraft in conditions that are not perfect. With the wind gusts clearly seen and heard in this vid those pilots all landed their aircraft with aplomb! Super job on your part Jay for filming this vid! You handled your camcorder extremely well in less than ideal conditions! Kudos to you, sir!!
All that wind, and being gusty, challenges the pilots to be even better pilots, as they overcome adversity, and land these big birds. Jay sometimes we are our worse critics to the things that we do brother, but I believe you done an excellent job on this video, and all your other video's. As you said in another video, you were catching the history of O'Hare as planes land, and take off. Chicago is the "windy city", and that is part of history, even with your video's. To me Jay, your video's are priceless (The Best). The only thing I can video, and upload to (youtube) is barge video's "Stan's Barge Video's" as I video them on the Ohio River. Excellent job Jay, keep them going bro.
Lol! thanks very much, Stan. Aviation is a major part of American history and I love appreciating it, documenting it and capturing it for generations to come. I only wish we had more and more aviation video of the past...
grahamboaviation They call it the "Windy City" because of the politicians from here that love to talk and boast, but yes, it can certainly get pretty windy here from time to time.
Did u like my comment? That's the first time someone liked my comment 😂😂! I'm in the suburbs so, I kinda know why it's called the Windy City... But, it is truly a great city
It is! I plane spot a lot (I am under a flight path to KLAX lol). Was always interested in airplanes from a very young age. Not yet seriously into the hobby. Someday though I will be. Your videos are among the best I have seen! Keep up the good work.
Wow that BR cargo landed very hard! I can't just imagine what it felt like in the pilots seat on that landing. I bet the cargo shifted around a bit... Awesome planes, bro! Yesterday i saw a United 777-200 come over me on final... i thought it was an emergency landing, since UAL doesn't fly the 777-200 here. It turns out it was just a flight from IAH-SEA. I guess that what happens when lots of people book for one flight! I think we were just discussing that a couple days ago, lol!
Well all I can say is I'm jealous!! All I get is small stuff at BDL. But I take what I can get. I loved those MD-11s!! And loved the bouncy, crosswind landings!!
Sure thing Jay. We would have a great time, I know I would!! But I'll be starting work here sometime in August, which means I'll have no time off for a while :-( But ORD is one of the airports I would like to visit.
Very cool, wish i can have one like that airports in mi city, the biggest plane that come here in Guadalajara is the b747-cargo, thats it... Greetings! :D
That Eva Cargo certainly planted the mains didn't it? The 747 is built to take it though. And what was up with the Aero Union 767 flat landing? Yeah, I don't feel like flaring it today, I'll just plop it on the runway LOL. By the way, that approach lineup you got was simply put, awesome.
Kenny Green everywhere... well, not EVERYWHERE :D but I do have lots of different locations. This location you see in the video is now off limits per the owners request. I'm with an Airport Watch program and that makes it easier for me to go places and see things that most regular civilians can't go and do. Thnx 4 watching!
Okay, Jay, I'm trying to place where on the field you are... Is this over by the cargo access road near the fire department? Never thought to drive up there as I assumed I'd get stopped at some point.
Mbuchi Thiani This location was on private property and I was invited through invitation. The place is now off-limits to spotters because un-invited guests made themselves at home without permission.
O'HareAviation Plane Spotting HD Thank you so much! I was pretty sure after seeing the UA 739 eco skies livery in such close proximity and parallel, and later when the American Eagle E175 landed 27L. But thanks for the clarification!
yes, my license expired a while ago (i need a flight review) and flying is now really too expensive for me to continue doing it much at all so I haven't in a long time. Now I am concentrating more on either becoming an air traffic controller or an aircraft dispatcher.
+Rees Mayhew Always well worth the trip. I was very lucky to unofficially represent the airport in the way I did for the time I did. Quite a privilege and I look back on it fondly.
Hey Jay, my apologies for it being late, but I have started a new spotting page and was wondering if you could come check it out, I know it's not perfect yet. Best regards, Chris
Continued great videos! (Gotta get someone to get the plastic bags off the razor ribbon, I think the same shit has been there since I subscribed to you channel several months ago! :-)
yeah, unfortunately the same plastic bags still flutter in the wind. There really isn't much of a way I can get up there and take them down without a lot of hassle so I hope you will bear with :D there's a lot of other stuff stuck up in the fence as well due to the great American tradition of littering.
Jay's HD Aviation & Plane Spotting No worries, still good stuff! We do architectural consultant work out there, although I tend to watch trains more than planes, pretty cool place!
Wow that BR cargo landed very hard! I can't just imagine what it felt like in the pilots seat on that landing. I bet the cargo shifted around a bit... Awesome planes, bro! The Windy City at its finest!! Endless crosswinds equals excellent aviating by the pilots showcased in your footage! Well done Jay
thanks so much, Ry-buddy! I will be over to watch you're latest greatness in a moment.
Hey Jay, I thought you film these for me too (saw the reply to Shamrock). Just kidding.
These are awesome!!! Lovely departures and arrivals. Always indeed a pleasure to view. I like the ATC too.
Well done!!!
Nevermind, I'm only allowed to comment on American Airlines aircraft. Those are for me. haha
Nice AA B767-300ER ONE WORLD!!!
Lots of nice smoking landings in this video, another great compilation!
Great video as always! I really love the MD-11s! :D
THNX, BJG!!
wow, jay good job. it is still called the windy city for a reason. that will never change. good to see you again. thank you for your hard work
thanx 4 watching, Evan!
Very nice! Some of those landings were just hectic!
Thanks, DA! glad I could capture them for everyone to enjoy.
I love the quality and variety of planes you make videos of and I really enjoy watching them take off and land.
Thnx much, TG1717. I have entered a new chapter of my life here for a bit and won't be making anything new for a while. I still plan to be very active watching many videos and commenting(!) soon after my current class wraps up though.

thanks, jeff! I always get nervous filming in these conditions because badly timed gusts tend to show up right when I hit the record button :D

Fantastic video, from the beginning to the end but especially with the shamrock in the middle! Many thanks for sharing! Sláinte!!
Thanks, my SR767! I film these just for you ;)
What a great bunch of amazing birds. Good skills of pilots added with the gust made this video interesting. Liked it.
THNXgwada971, flygwada971!
It's awesome that you get to see all the different kinds of planes at the O'Hare airport. All I get to see are 737s at my closest airport. XD
Some fabulous catches man, definitely enjoyed, LIKED :))
Aaaaah there you are windy and gusty! Nice to see you! Big like from Chicago!
grahamboaviation They call it the "Windy City" because of the politicians from here that love to talk and boast, but yes, it can certainly get pretty windy here from time to time.

grahamboaviation
sure did! i liked that one too... I often hit the "like" hand there for people when they comment but I mean it when I do.
Some wonderful landings. Was judging them while watching this.
Indeed. thanks, Don! Always a fun pastime.
It is! I plane spot a lot (I am under a flight path to KLAX lol). Was always interested in airplanes from a very young age. Not yet seriously into the hobby. Someday though I will be. Your videos are among the best I have seen! Keep up the good work.
Don McPherson
glad to hear! i will film more as time permits. Very busy these days.

Thumbs up for this 5-stars work !
Thanks for watching! :) No, it's not easy..... you got that right.
A very nice job men ! Windy landings are always impressive because it's not as "easy" as usual...
Thanks 4 watching and yes, agree, after having flown airplanes myself.
Wow that BR cargo landed very hard! I can't just imagine what it felt like in the pilots seat on that landing. I bet the cargo shifted around a bit... Awesome planes, bro! Nothing wrong with the quality, Jay...just a blustery day. Nice one.

Wonderful video! I always love your compilations :)
thanks so much, HS. Likewise. can't always comment but I do watch and like ;)
Ok, thats nice to know :)

Sure thing Jay. We would have a great time, I know I would!! But I'll be starting work here sometime in August, which means I'll have no time off for a while :-( But ORD is one of the airports I would like to visit.
Hard landing the first one! xD

i dont think ive ever seen a 747 land that hard :p great vid !!!
was quite the arrival :D thanks, mate!
I'm still waiting for that crosswind & gusty day in Montreal
perhaps we can send some wind from Chicago sometime :)
the '' problem'' im mtl is that the wind is always parallel to the runway.
HD-COCKPIT SCENES
oh, OK. a well-planned runway!
Awesome mate! Great spots! :)
THANKS, Ba Co!
this is awesome!
Just watch the flaps on the no.2 Engine when The Eva air touched down its ridiculous! Nearly fallen off.
lol! yes, flaps do bounce around. You see lots of things you didn't know about aircraft when you get to watch them land this close in person.
Jay's HD Aviation & Plane Spotting And you make it Possible for me! Thanks!
Awesome. Love it! Really want to come to ORD for a few days to spot lol :) liked

well, Paul.... where I spot is actually private property and I'm allowed there only with permission.
Ha! So in a sorts I'm right, I'd get stopped at some point. ;-)

At 4:19 That the first time I saw a NCA
I love plane spotting at O'Hare
+Rees Mayhew Always well worth the trip. I was very lucky to unofficially represent the airport in the way I did for the time I did. Quite a privilege and I look back on it fondly.
Yikes my heart leaped a little at that BR landing :|
Ahhh no KLM, but great video :)
Flight thanks! i try for a variety... KLM is common here so they end up in many other of my vids.
Solid
*bro-fist* thanks, dude!
Hey Jay, my apologies for it being late, but I have started a new spotting page and was wondering if you could come check it out, I know it's not perfect yet.

:)
Thumbs up!
AeroUnion at 5:50 is a horrible landing heheh
good
i like people who are aircraft lovers what about u jay
Hate to be the eva air cargo pilots
yes.....I can imagine. That moment when you realize you were the ones who were filmed smacking a jumbo jet into the expensive concrete...
Wow that BR cargo landed very hard! I can't just imagine what it felt like in the pilots seat on that landing. I bet the cargo shifted around a bit... Awesome planes, bro!
