Thank you for making a video like this! I have been visiting Japan for 10 years and shopping is one of my favorite things to do, but I get so much secondhand embarrassment when I see other foreigners being overly careless. I hope more people see your video!

    Hello mogu 先生,
How are you? I recently stumbled upon your channel and have found some of the advice given on here very helpful.
Today I have a question that I am trying to hear as many opinions on as I can:
I am an 18-year-old young man from California, US. I want to immigrate to Japan but I don't know much about Japanese colleges other than 飲み会 😂.
My Japanese is only somewhere between N4 and N5 (N4.5 if you will 😅). Of course, I am still learning and hope to hit N3 within 1 to 1.5 years. With all of this in mind, is an international college or a normal Japanese college better in my case? (is there a difference in quality of education?) Or perhaps even a transfer from one to another?
Thank you for your time 🙇‍♂.

Hello! Thank you for your comment! I’m glad you've been finding the videos helpful. Addressing your questions about studying in Japan, here are a few key points:
Language Proficiency: While you don't necessarily need N1 proficiency to enroll in all Japanese universities, having a strong command of the language will greatly enhance your academic and social experience in Japan. Many international colleges offer programs in English, which might be more suitable given your current language level. This could be a good option until you enhance your Japanese skills to a more advanced level.
Choosing the Right College: Both international and regular Japanese colleges can provide a high-quality education. The best choice depends on your language proficiency and personal career goals. International colleges can help ease the transition into the Japanese education system and culture with English-language instruction and support services.
Visa Considerations: Studying at an international university can also simplify the process of obtaining a student visa, which is essential for legally residing in Japan.
Think of your educational expenses as an investment in your future opportunities in Japan. It's not just about managing costs but preparing yourself for a successful integration into Japanese society. Good luck on your journey, and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions!
