I vividly remember having this guy around TF5 era. This thing is SUPER SICK. Movie opinions aside, some of these figures are just killer. This era is what kicked off my toy hunting craze. They really hold up well after all these years. Great video yet again, broham! 🔥👀👊🏽
TLK brought me back into collecting Transformers again. Then Studio Series happened and it was all downhill from there

Studio Series TF Figures suck, I got the first wave version of OP with the Battle Swords and a few months later the chest section with the arm assembly snapped off, so now, you know the one that Has labs tried to do a rendition of TFP Optimus, but this one was A FAILURE, the bot mode looked fine and the truck mode looked okay as well, but when it broke that's when everything went down hill, which I'm probably going to sell it on eBay or something to get some cash.
I just don't like these SS Figures from Hasbro, their a waste of plastic resources, and paint sources, which could benefit everyone else in lots of jobs and food to use at the grocery stores to sell for money than an actual toy, but we know the government is and their obsession with our financial services, they need to stop being hogs with our money, and I Mean It, bc someone should do something about these false lawyers who think they know everything, but they don't have a clue what they're doing or getting themselves into.

now that commander class is on the table for studio series, I wonder if they were just waiting for SS commanders to start being sold before they did dinobots again
I could see Scorn and maybe a much later redux of Grimlock working pretty well at that class

@@TFN_Araque there's this company called baiwei that upscaled the ss 07 grimlock to his film accurate size and gave him the dna design upgrade kit. He also comes with a clear blue plastic ss32 for some reason
Fr, hasbro should either upscale or redesign grimlock to commander class, then make the rest of the dinobots in commander class
Now that they finished the '86 movie Dinobots, they can start working on the other AOE Dinobots.
More importantly, we need a redo of SS 07 Grimlock since SS 116 Bumblebee happens to be a redo of SS 18 Bumblebee.
@@ZachDy-xg9it this might be unsatisfying, but what if they did more with the 2-pack commander idea? Without a combination gimmick to account for, maybe the designers could fudge together two generously sized AoE/TLK Dinobots in one go. Either way, it will probably end up as a multi year campaign like the 86 guys whenever they start. I'd be curious about Strafe...
One of the best figures I've ever owned. It's so perfect. Good posing, good design, and fun transformation. I bought the ko oversized version just because I loved it that much

Honestly, Hasbro should take this, upscale it to leader class, and do some tweaks to the sculpt for the Studio Series line because this sculpt is just fantastic!
We aren't getting SS AOE dinobots anytime soon.
Instead we're gonna get more Bee movie characters that didn't even appear in the movie, or 86 figures that we literally don't need.

Because hasbro only cares about g1 actually to them g1 is more important than any other franchise they will do more worthless stuff from the bumblebee and rotb . And not give us any bayverse figures .

I always found this guys design fantastic and I always wanted this guy can’t wait to see how they update his toy design in the SS line

You should get black mamba scorn which is a very oversized version of this guy and really nicely painted and light up eyes
i actually just pulled this guy off my shelf yesterday. it's a great figure. would be nice if that hands had articulation to wrap over the shoulder though.
i noticed you may have not rotated the shoulder joint far enough until it snapped into place and that could be why you're having som uch trouble getting them into place.
learned like 4 weeks ago that the shoulder with the tail is supposed to be upside down in dino mode to peg in.😅

I still regret getting rid of the deluxe one. I loved that thing but one of its legs wouldn't stay on to save its life

I managed to find all of the Dinobots- this guy, TLK SLug, Strafe, Slash, and even SS Grimlock for a fair price, and this guy looks sick!
I remember going to toys r us and having to make a decision between him and nitro. I got nitro and never saw señor spikey again 😢

Tlk line honestly has some of the best figures during the pre studio series figures, honestly this figure needs just ratchet joints for legs and a new code of paint
Weijiang is already having oversized ones, like the movie edition in colours, but in bigger size. Scale well with Studio Series Grimlock only the colours arent matching haha
All they have to do it's take this mold and upscale it to leader size just how they took the deluxe dotm starscream mold and upscale it to Voyager size
This mold is so perfect the only thing a Studio Series version needs is a better paint job, no need for a new mold
I bet Hasbro would sell this figure as a leader now :/ it's bigger than ROTB Scourge
I LOVED this figure. Still have him on display. The Last Knight had no right having some banger Voyager Classes, Hound, Nitro Zeus, Megatron and Scorn, but it did! Even the Voyager Knight Optimus was decent!

I miss owning this figure day one I got him instantly became my fav figure helped I was a big dinosaur nerd at the time but next day legs became loose beyond loose out of the blue, pain
I would love if they made classic repaints of the og toys in the ss mold in a seperate line
like if they made a ss strafe, they would have a silver in ss and a blue one in like legacy or smthn just an idea
If they're doing the Dinobots from Age of Extinction after 86 Swoop, They Gotta do 3 Things
Make ALL of Them (Even Including Slog, Slash, and Snarl) Leader Class Scale
Give ALL of Them PROPER WRIST SWIVELS
And Lastly, Make them Color Accurate

Found this guy and nitro Zeus for 10$ at Kmart before they closed but was told I could only get 1 so I'm still to this day a happy owner of nitro
I know that it would probably end up literally impossible. But I want a new SS Grimlock with the articulation of TLK Scorn
Hopefully 86 Swoop will be revealed any week now. At least then we’ll know they’ll be ready for the AOE Dinobots

I wonder how much shared engineering the inevitable Studio Series version of this guy is going to have with this version.
I believe Studio Series Scorn would share engineering with Grimlock:
If you remember, one of Grimlock's arms becomes the tail of the T-Rex; and as we know, Scorn's left arm is the tail of the Spinosaurus

A few years ago, the store that I work in had him and Nitro Zeus for £15. I skipped him and got Zeus instead.
Watching this review, it appear I made the right choice! Sorry but as much as you are praising him but him being top heavy, loose joints below and the back kiddle are putting me off! I rather wait years for the SS version instead!
I, too, am a proud owner of this figure. One of my absolute favorite figures, despite some QC issues.
I found this guy at goodwill a few years ago for like five dollars. Only thing my copy is missing is the red thigh armor parts. If anyone wants to hook me up, that'd be much appreciated ^^

I'm hoping that in 2024 we can start see the other Dinobots from Age Of Extinction because 2024 marks the 10th Anniversary for Age Of Extinction. So It will be a perfect time for Hasbro and Takara start to gave us the rest of the Dinobots. Scorn and Slug must be in Leader Class because how massive they are while Starfe I'm debate whether he will be a Voyager or Leader Class. So here is hoping 2024 we can start to see Studio Series AOE Dinobots since Grimlock. So Hasbro can we please finish with the SS86 Dinobots?

I missed out on this guy but have the Deluxes and Leader Grimlock, Spino is one of my fave Dinosaurs too but all of these depictions are mostly outdated and look like the JP3 Spino
Spinosaurus is my favorite dinosaur and sadly missed out on this figure. Hoping for a ss release.
I got this lad, pretty much one of the best figures I have, either way I can't wait to get the ss version, I just hope the size, colors and articulation get better in the new one, don't get me wrong, the red and silver is nice, but a darker red like red wine or something would be nicer.
I got one when it came out as a gift but unfortunately mine had two left feet
I actually have this in my room and he’s in his Dino mode
The QC on my one seems to be good as I don't have the loose/weak joints and clips that your one had. Only QC I had was one of his tail joints being stuck cause of too much silver paint that got it stuck (but was able to free it up).
Still love this figure and hope they do justice to the updated versions of the Bayverse Dinobots.
I got this thing when it came out and he was a cool figure but I wished I had known about studio series at the time and not waste my money

This was the only TF5 figure I got, I had to choose between him and Barricade. But I'm so glad I got this guy instead (still want BC, just gonna have to do some aftermarket hunting). Luckily my figure didn't have weak leg joints, they were kind of tight, actually, especially when transforming the dino feet. Biggest issue I had was a tab on the arm side shoulder never tabbed in, but it was snug enough that it never really bothered me. And the Spino mode, is just fantastic (except for the arm kibble trying to pass off as the chest, but meh, everything else was so good, I didn't really care about that either).
Personally this figure justifies why I hate ankles that can articulate upward.
Imagine if they made a legacy g1 version style scorn spinosaurus

Probably my 2nd favorite dinobot #1 obviously belongs to Grimlock he’s a freaking badass with his SS leader class figure the design looks far better than the AOE leader clasd & TLK voyager model ❤😊
As a Studio Series, he should come out as a Commander class, because he’s taller then Grimlock and his sails are Pack on him.

Fun fact: in my universe, Scorn is an actually pretty smart dino Man that finds grimlock really fucking hot. Yes. I turned this who-tf-knows of a character into a simp. Does Grimlock feel the same way? Maybe.

Dragonstorm needs a proper figure. Stormreign, Dragonicus, Steelbane, Skullitron, and Talisman knight, all voyagers to scale properly.
My favorite Dinobot in terms of design. A giant spiked whip-arm? Brother. Also it's red (my favorite color), and a Spinosaurs (my favorite dinosaur.) Even if it's historically inaccurate.

For me, the third parties who made the OS KO Bayformers we're really good and cheaper especially the Grimlock diecast that has a small Optimus Prime.

Always thought this should have been remolded into BM Megatron. Probably a little too extensive a mod for a 3rd party to tackle. Ah well, guess we'll never know what could have been.
I can't unsee the robot head as an armoured duck head and he has a smiley face on his chest.
I either missed the news about the AOE Dinobots being continued after the G1 Dinobots or completely forgot. Either way, that’s some grade-A bullshit right there. Absolutely ridiculous that they put the AOE Dinobots on hold to do the G1 team.
My biggest hope for the SS AOE/TLK Dinobots; is that they redo Grimlock, because honestly aside from the robot mode being decent he wasn’t the best
Great dino mode(j park 3 dino right?) and a forced robot mode. By the way yours is tooo loose, i bought it second hand (and i have a mib) and every joint is very tight. But i couldnt peg the tail section although i tried for like 5 minutes… glad i picked him up as a i am a dino lover
I really like this figure, but I wish a 3rd party company would make a more posable right arm.
