Ringo is like the alternate universe Tonpetty, in a way. Tonpetty lead William Zeppeli down a path of self-betterment, but he predicted that the path would eventually lead to William’s death. Ringo lead Gyro Zeppeli down a path of self-betterment, but he predicted that the path would eventually lead to Gyro’s death.
Id also like to step in and say the way works towards mandom is like Bruford's wants fight without abusing other peoples weaknesses similar to Ringo only using his stand where he is fighting another stand user
To be honest if you reached out to Matt Mercer (the voice actor for him) you could almost certainly get him to do that voice line, then maybe some modding to get it in? Doubt Blizzard would be so happy to oblige, though always a possibility to ask.
Aight here's my theory on Ringo. When he says he is "cured" it's entirely symbolic. When we see Ringo he is still sick. When we see him in his dual with Gaucho, he still has the shakes, and he seems to cough into his hand after the dual. Simply put he found meaning in his life and has kept himself alive by the adrenaline rush he gets from duals.
If Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out on PC, someone should make some Steel Ball Run Stand mods, imagine instead of dead eye, you had Mandom, that shit would be lit
While red dead 2 is out on pc, and there are some modding capabilities- sadly I think that something like rewinding actions/gunshots/environmental damage, etc. Isn't available with the modding tools that people have. But they might be able to add steel balls, which would be cool :>
There should be an episode of Stand-Off between Diavalo and Ringo Roadagain Diavolo can move forward 10 seconds and Ringo Roadagain can go back more than half of that It would make for a...VERY confusing fight
Also thought it was interesting how in his introduction, Johnny and the others kept getting rewinded and seemingly went in circles, on the same road. "Roadagain"
While I read Steel Ball Run, I decided to listen to a lot of Ennio Morricone music to immerse myself in the western setting. When I got to Ringo, the final standoff theme from The Good The Bad and The Ugly started playing. That moment will always stick with me, and its one of the reasons I like Ringo and SBR so much.
I love that guy's philosophy of continuous self-improvement. As an artist, an programmer, an creator, I believe that the "True Man's World" is one where someone constantly works to improve themselves and their craft. And I would say that duels are a form of art.
Throughout their duel, Ringo evaluates the notion that contemporary society has lost its way. It has succumbed to decadence and meaningless violence/deceit, and abandoned the nature of man and the virtuosity of a fairly-fought duel. Ringo’s prescription to elevate society from this decadence is the True Man’s World. A world where men painstakingly writhe under the most horrid of circumstances to better themselves. A society that endorses the notion of killing for survival, yet does so in an honourable way, in the form of an old fashioned Western duel. Through this conflict, society can rejuvenate itself (as he did against his would-be rapist), and return to a more naturalistic and noble state of being. Ringo knew Johnny already had what it took to mercilessly kill, yet Gyro was more hesitant about murder (contrasting his previous occupation). When Gyro kills Ringo, Ringo welcomes him to the True Man’s World, because he was forced to adopt Ringo’s philosophy of kill or be killed. In essence, he is welcoming him to a world that embraces the once prosaic values that are rendered esoteric by contemporary society. This is manifested through his stand Mandom. Whereas Mandom turns back time, Ringo wants society to rewind the clock in order to reconcile itself with the values that were lost in a capitalist and industrializing world. Ringo Roadagain is a beautiful character because out of all the selfish characters within Steel Ball Run, his selfishness is the most pure. He doesn’t seek to better his nation or pursue some other ambition. He simply wants humanity to absolve itself of its decadence, and is willing to die for this philosophy in order to pass it on to others.
I love this guy. On the road again is an amazing song, Ringo is an amazing villain, he has amazing backstory, it all makes so much sense.. a very well desined minor antagonist!!!!
Ringo is the only Minor antagonist with a time related ability although this is a thing for the main antagonists (Exept for Dio Brando (Dio from part 1 is with surename) and the pillarmen).
One thing I noticed is the art style in this Ark. This is the point where a rocky starts to realize that he's not on a weekly schedule anymore and his art changes to the more modern look that you would see in late part 7 and the rest of part 8. For me this is one of the best transitions as I think that part 7 looks better than part 8 artistically. But this Sudden Change from the more part 6 to the later part 8 style and art is one of the most beautiful transitions I've ever seen. Just as the characters themselves grow a rocky grows himself as well.

JPArtSpace still though it's one of their biggest records in addition while jojo is a reference to a restaurant you have to admit the lyrics of the song fit the theme of jojo pretty well being each jojo going on a adventure to get their life back to a state of normalcy.
I dunno, I think if he were a bigger beetles fan we would have had more than what we've got.
