I could never put up with this for more than one year, let alone 3 😭 that's so impressive. Did you have a mouse and keyboard or you've just straight up been using it?
Hello =) ! Thanks to share your experience on android with a tiny screen :) ! I do not know if you try to click on the cross arrowed button on the right top of the central window to pass it in large mode. It will not fix all the ergonomic problems but it can start to help. Have a great day, Ludovyc
I don't really like the tiktok/adhd type editing, but cool video. Godot isn't the only engine that works on mobile btw. There are quite a few mobile only game engines as well.
The exclusive ones I've tried are usually quite limiting, unfortunately. Also, if I don't edit like this, then people will stop watching and that's just unfortunately how it is. I'll tone it down a little for my next video, though
@@Woganog...? What? That's not "how it is" lol. Maybe if you're trying to attract an audience of kids and MrBeast fans, sure, but not every video needs to be an overload to the senses just because you want to retain attention and views man.
I may not have to cram everything into the first 6 seconds like a tiktok, but if it isn't at least slightly engaging throughout, then the first few viewers who see it after the first hour will just click off and then YT decides the video is bad and it barely gets recommended after that. I've tested this. There is a chance I'm wrong, but also this is just my editing style 😭 and I had to finish editing the whole thing in one day so it is kinda rushed. I guess it's my fault ig
Also, forgot to say that I'm not doing it for views. I want as many people as possible to enjoy the video and the video doesn't reach the people who are gonna enjoy it unless it gets through everyone else first because the algorithm never targets my videos at the audience I'm trying to reach out to
@Woganog The problem is how it's edited. You cut out too much context. For me as advanced Godot user I wanted to see the experience on mobile but massive jump cutting made the video hard to follow. The end result is incoherent "story" video.
Havent finished the vid but, you know there are touch screens button nodes right? lol and you just set the action in the inspector and make controls like normal? lol Doing this on a phone without keyboard and mouse looks to be just as annoying as I imagined it would be lol
4:45 why all this struggle just use touchScreenButton node 😂 for the buttons and every one have action field and you put the input names on them all and all this doesn't need coding 😂❤

I was making games with it for 3 years on my phone

@@Woganog From a look into his channel bro really been straight up using it, he's him. 😨
the looks like hell if you could see the behind the scenes
oh, that is quite the challenge! great video!
Could Godot Run on a Raspberry Pi! Next Video "Can you make games... with just a pi?"
It probably could, actually. I might buy a super old Raspberry Pi to test that since a newer one would make it too easy
@@Woganog Yea
Godot also has a port for the web, so you can create games on far more devices than a phone
True, I used to create goofy games on the school computer in the web engine. Unfortunately my school got rid of WebGL (somehow) so I can't anymore 😔
how to learn godot

I've tried zooming the UI before but then it's just really cramped and doesn't feel user friendly

my hands were not built for this 😔
Godot on Android moment 🗣️
How long did the platformer take to make?
Like 2 days... and within those days like 3 hours tops
some phones have desktop mode when external display is connected, i think that would go crazy
It would be perfect, yeah
The android version is mainly made for tablets. I sometimes pass my time by experimenting godot using my tablet
Using the floating keyboard option would be better.
True
TIL if there’s a will, then there probably is a way.
You can plug a mouse and keyboard to a phone. USB/Bluetooth are great for it.
I'm aware, I literally mentioned this 😭 the whole point was that I wasn't allowed it. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough until the outro, mb
@@Woganog uh yeah, my bad, didn't watch the last few seconds xD
Here's a better (probably not) question, can you make a game on the PS Vita?
This reminded me I've been looking to buy a Vita lol
@@Woganog I've been enjoying the one I got recently

always 🙏
Touchscreen interfaces are generally horrible. But touchscreen keyboards seem to be particularly badly designed.
