Hope you guys appreciate the new POV footage, it's pretty hard to shoot and work on the nachines at the same time! Let me know if you liked it and also, lets here things that sting haha! Cheers.
1. I’m sorry you are under the weather. Feel better soon; 2. Hand sanitizer on a paper cut stings like the dickens; 3. love the POV; and 4. Beautiful job on the shoes. They look wonderful 😊
That stictcher is a mechanical marvel. Would love to see a video just dealing with it, the maintenance, operation and all those moving parts. What an engineer to come up with that thing.
All mechanical devices about stiching are so mesmerising, so a good look at this machine will be a start, and the next question is, are they produced today?
Who would have thought watching shoes being repaired and brought back to their former glory could be so fascinating… The level of skill and passion and pride taken is absolutely phenomenal…👏👏👏
Also that stitcher deserves its own video. The amount of moving parts it has just makes it look all cool steampunky The blake stitcher is also cool, but not as flashy
a huge hello from morocco, over the days, I became addicted to your videos, I watched almost all of them, and I'm not bored yet, all because of the care that you give to each shoe and the good work you're doing, hope you a good continuation, and see you in the next video
Wow well done Dan. A video suggestion of The equipment of a cobbler! And a helpful hint. Open clean cuts super glue. But let it dry before continuing. Stay safe.
Incredible job on the editing and POV. This is a lot of work, I could see it in this video. Some video (not only yours) seems easy put together, but I know this one took you a LOT of effort on the editing, putting camera, knowing your angles and lighting, all while working on a customer shoe. Well done sir!
My Oh My Dan. Excellent work. What absolute pleasure to watch a consummate professional at he's trade. Full respect. Thanks for sharing....Now to find out exactly how to send you my Jefferey West Chelsea boots....😂
A video on the stitcher would be great, also one on the Singer patcher please! I have one the same as yours but I’m not 100% on the threading! Really liked how these came out both the shoes and the video.
You have such an awesome disposition and attitude to life. So clear that you love what you do and you do it super well. No doubt in my mind you are going to be a YT success! 1 million subs, here we come!
I work at a print shop and so paper cuts are common place. I have found after getting a good cut a sprinkle some alcohol on the cut and after that first sting I won't have to worry about it hurting the rest of the day which is great because the ammonia based cleanser we use really BURNS 🔥🔥🔥
I'm not sure if it is just the camera, but the toning done after the initial surface color was removed is pretty slick. Keeping the crevices darker is pretty cool in my book.
Dear owner of the channel ... We wish you success in your work ... The idea of the new video clips is very beautiful ... And your work in your shop is very beautiful and wonderful ... At this time we miss the quality of work, you restore the old to the new
I think doing a video on each piece of equipment, its uses, and its history, could be a good series you could do... As for things that sting - papercut from mail... whether opening or just handling in a weird way...
Absolutely fascinating, Dan. I found your video by chance when I was searching for a 'how to polish shoes' guide. I thought I recognised you and remembered when I popped into your shop last winter to get a price for a Grenson resole, while my missus was at the market. I will deffo bring my shoes to your shop, once the soles start to wear out.
Another great video Dan, I'm a big fan of Loake shoes myself. Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Great to get the customer feedback too, that's a great new addition to the vids!
I've watched a ton of cobbler video's and you by far have the cleanest running operation! You also are one of the top cobblers I've come across, i'm hooked, I've watched all your video's with thumb's up of course! Keep up the old school ways with your modern touch! Coming at you from Washington State!
I am always so impressed each time watching one of these show restoration videos. Wish I lived nearby to have my shoes cared as much. No such luck around here in our disposable American culture.
I literally found this channel bc I finally got Covid for the first time couple of weeks ago so I binged your channel. Obviously I subscribed. Lol thanks for vlogging your work. Cheers!
Im not a cobbler , but have watched all your videos. Love the new angles when sanding etc . Things that sting ..... Not sure I can say on here 🙄🙄🤣🤣 keep up the great videos. 👍👍👍
Do you ever get people that come to your shop to watch you work?? I think it is very interesting to watch people with skills to do their job. I weld, do wood working.some electrical and plumbing. A little of everything
Things that sting a cut? Isopropyl alcohol (which you found out). Lovely restoration (not sure about the lavender laces, however) but, my opinion isn't important on these shoes. The customer obviously loved them. Excellent job, Dan.
Agree it’s hard to work with cuts on your fingers. As a health care worker, I have to perform hand hygiene with hand sanitizers at least 100 times a day. Pain beyond words. 😂 love your personality , creativity and channel content 👍
Pro tip.... when you have a paper cut or any open small wound, use a little superglue if you have it handy. Seals and stops the air but will break down slowly if wet. Today people buy new skin or dermabond in place of stitches and is a really good sealant. BUT......get ready to experience what feels like molten salt being poured into a wound that shards of glass from a drive-bye ....it lasts a split second and then you are right as rain.
Love the point of view footage ❗️ The machines themselves are so interesting and that special effect was awesome ❗️Tring looks like such a nice town and I hope the gentleman likes his snappy shoelaces, ha!
Lavender color sole stitching would have been an awesome complement to the laces. I like that you darkened the edge with the air brush on the soles. Makes the sticking “pop”. Nice work.
Yes definitely appreciate the edit! More please!
Thanks
I always find a tear in the arsehole after a big cocodamol shit stings a bit, even nippier if you had has a mutton vindaloo the night previous.
I absolutely love the POV!
And try hand sanitizer an a small wound.... that sh*t hurts
It's probably over a hundred years old, they don't make things like that used to
Like a bag stitcher
What kind of stitcher is that?
is that blake stitch machine?
Not sure about the laces but as usual you knocked it out of the park Dan .
Yep. Not sure myself🤭
I would have used dark brown, matching that of the sole and heel.
He's got to be colour blind
Laces looked ace and made them look on point. ❤
I love the multiple merging Dan's
Haha. loved the special effects. Jumping into multiples of yourself. Like the Matrix. Neo Dan
Was not expecting the purple laces. Blew my mind!!
Who would have thought watching shoes being repaired and brought back to their former glory could be so fascinating… The level of skill and passion and pride taken is absolutely phenomenal…👏👏👏
That dye on the soles is just 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Also that stitcher deserves its own video. The amount of moving parts it has just makes it look all cool steampunky
The blake stitcher is also cool, but not as flashy
Hi, TH-cam recommended you and I have enjoyed watching a true craftsman at work.
The antelope shoes are a fantastic example of skill and flair,Well done.
Dan the man !! nice job . Also Bee's sting
JR is back in business... God bless!
Another great job, Dan!! I love the multiple Dan effect.
I hope your getting better Dan. It was fun to see the customer's reaction!
Time for the 200,000 subscriber special show. Loved the multi Dan shot as always.
More customer reactions. That was nice.
That’s clever with the 3 of you at the end. Great job again! I like the lavender laces
12:20 I see you've learnt some new editing skills XD
Great video as usual and always nice to see the customer reaction !
a huge hello from morocco, over the days, I became addicted to your videos, I watched almost all of them, and I'm not bored yet, all because of the care that you give to each shoe and the good work you're doing, hope you a good continuation, and see you in the next video
Love the new video style changes. Definitely kept it interesting.
Wow well done Dan. A video suggestion of The equipment of a cobbler! And a helpful hint. Open clean cuts super glue. But let it dry before continuing. Stay safe.
Love the new camera angles in this vid, always a pleasure watching Dan do a good old shoe repair on a Tuesday afternoon
Fantastic work as usual Dan! Keep it up!
To answer your question, bees!
It blows my mind how tame their reacting is. I am blown away by every pair you do. Keep up the good work.
These are people who bought expensive Loakes to start with, they are used to nice things so it doesn't come as a surprise.
@@k19widow also they're just very British. XD
I love how smart the white stitches look in the airbrushed patina. You're an artist Dan!
A true master is one who makes his work look like it was easy to do. Romulus XXII.
💯🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The three Dans part was wonderful. Thanks for putting in the effort to be so entertaining!
Lots of different camera angles and (ASMR) sound recording -- wow , good work Dan, the extra team members mustve brought new ideas.👍
This man has a talent just vow excellent watch I find it so relaxing thank you .
Under the weather? No COVID!! Feel better soon. Another outstanding job, even when you’re not feeling 100%.
Incredible job on the editing and POV. This is a lot of work, I could see it in this video. Haha I always appreciate your theatrics. Another incredibly satisfying and clean job.
Watching the costumer reaction is the best part! Seeing a happy costumer is a reward in itself too.
A video on the stitcher would be great, also one on the Singer patcher please! I have one the same as yours but I’m not 100% on the threading! Really liked how these came out both the shoes and the video.
Great job love learning from your channel and a few other cobblers.
I too suffer from cracked finger ends.
I use superglue to seal up the cracks - hurts like hell, but only for a few seconds.
Awesome job Dan. You are a genious. Top notch. J
Absolutely brilliant workmanship... Cheers.
You have such an awesome disposition and attitude to life. So clear that you love what you do and you do it super well. No doubt in my mind you are going to be a YT success! 1 million subs, here we come!
Another absolutely fantastic vid!!!!! Thanks from Seattle.
Another great video Dan!!! Love the bit where you "stepped" into your frozen body!!!
The color change was really drastic, for the good!
You’re so close to 200K!!! Can’t wait for that moment
The sting of tears in my eyes when I'm dying of laughter after you starting singing about Jeremiah.
That stitching machine looks like a robot from the Matrix. Crazy how complicated it is for doing what appears to be such a simple task.
Excellent work. You literally transformed them.
Great job love the color of the laces
Another chill, relaxing video. Much obliged! 👽🌵
Hope you are feeling better soon Dan. Ron will watch the shop for you. hehe. J
nice editing skills thrown in there too, nice to see all the growth you've had as well

This exactly!
Pleased to hear JR are back in business, ex fil started using them 20 something years ago.
I'm not sure if it is just the camera, but the toning done after the initial surface color was removed is pretty slick. Keeping the crevices darker is pretty cool in my book.
I agree, they were quite pale though
Got to say,I love Loakes,.my favourite shoes...
Love the editing and new angles mate :)))

I like the new POV and effects to your video. It definitely adds to them and is a welcomed shack up to things. Keep up the great work.

We get transitions, dogs, and reactions???? This video does it all. Hope you feel better soon Dan great work.
Loved this one! That little touch of lavender is so fun. Also loved all the new camera work. It was a nice little change to keep the videos fresh.
I am always so impressed each time watching one of these show restoration videos. Wish I lived nearby to have my shoes cared as much. No such luck around here in our disposable American culture.
approaching 200K subs ! Getting my Bells and Whistles ready for the Celebration !
Cheers, Dan. Gotta say bees, mate.
Good job as always Dan.
I’m from India and never miss ur vlog. Ur doing an amazing job. I’ve learnt a lot about how to care of my shoes. all the best….
that was a cool transition into the still images
I literally found this channel bc I finally got Covid for the first time couple of weeks ago so I binged your channel. Obviously I subscribed. Lol thanks for vlogging your work. Cheers!
Lol I love the realization that you should wear a glove. I do the same thing with hearing protection
Im not a cobbler , but have watched all your videos. Love the new angles when sanding etc . Things that sting ..... Not sure I can say on here 🙄🙄🤣🤣 keep up the great videos. 👍👍👍

Another beautiful job!
О! как дяде понравились его новые тапки. Нам тоже понравилась работа.
Brake ro Carb cleaner. Also, PD680. PD680 is probably the worst. Some very clever bits of editing there, Dan.
absolute perfection awesome job
Nuskin - or some kind of superglue to form a scab over the papercut will solve the stinging and keep it clean.
The customer looks over the moon XD
Heyhey,
could you make a video about avoiding/treating blisters in shoes?
Those anti-blister bandaids on my heels never seem to work..
Things that sting a cut? Isopropyl alcohol (which you found out). Lovely restoration (not sure about the lavender laces, however) but, my opinion isn't important on these shoes. The customer obviously loved them. Excellent job, Dan.

Accidently Bumped into your Channel. Good watch.
I´d say a wasp, god´s flying revenge... Awesome jog on the shoe´s mate!

Almost to 200,000. Amazing.
Dan, you are a true artist. Those tired shoes looked amazing after you worked your magic on them!
Love the point of view footage ❗️
The machines themselves are so interesting and that special effect was awesome ❗️Tring looks like such a nice town and I hope the gentleman likes his snappy shoelaces, ha!
Somebody is learning different editing techniques lol. I like the laces. They went surprisingly nicely with the tan.
Love the POV footage!
Lavender color sole stitching would have been an awesome complement to the laces. I like that you darkened the edge with the air brush on the soles. Makes the sticking “pop”. Nice work.
Love your videos Dan
Wonderful job, great video. I must up my lace game 😂
Great Great Artist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ooh, on the cusp of 200k subs...well deserved too.
Great video, sir.
Loakes are great. I bought a pair to match the exact ones Peter Capaldi used when he was the 12th Doctor.
I vote for Dan being the next Doctor...
Nice re-do! Always nice to see things get a new life!
Thnx Dan!
