I'm a big rig fan I was raised around them my mom my stepfather we're truckers when I was small that was my dream job to be A truck driver but when I shot and being hit by a car Breaking my neck my dreams slip through my hands even though what happened to me I'm still love big rigs and I hope one day they make a wheelchair assessable truck 😊
I honestly think they could. If you could prove that you can drive then a chairlift company, truck brands, and a trucking company would probably be willing to work with you. I know they have kits out there for pickups where instead of the door opening normally the top of the door stays connected to the truck and the bottom swings up towards the sky. I'm not talking like Lambo doors but more along the lines of gulwing doors. Just type in "wheelchair accessible truck" on google and it should pull up what I'm talking about. Even If you have to lose a little bit of sleeper space it can be done or just add a bigger custom sleeper to regain loss space. Then add hand controls and whatever else needed and it could be done. Only thing is you would have to park where there isnt another truck on yours driver side. So park up against the curb where there isnt a parking spot or park on a end spot to where you just have grass on the drivers side. Even if you can only drive the expediting trucks or dryvan it could be done if you find the right people.
I seen a handicap Werner tractor at the Petro in Southern Illinois. And 6 handicap spots for 18 wheelers. Tried to wait for the driver but I was hauling on tour. Had to do a 10-20 then leave.
Nah most are working trucks. See them on the road around here all the time. Commiefornia can go fly a kite. I know 100's of drivers and companies that won't go there at all. Fuck the emissions bullshit.
