Honestly I was expecting WP to do a lot worse! It does have more Blastery vibes than Scrappery vibes...diving in and nuking before things get too hot. The control and debuff from Psy Wail and the hold procs is doing real work.

I think you nailed it. The controls are what made this effective. Surprisingly good I found. Kept most bosses from rezzing.
The regen and heals just allow you to get back in the fight. You definitely won't be tanking for the team.
