Closest thing I will ever get to having Rob Halford sing this song which I really would like to hear but Rob Halford can't even give Tim Ripper Owens era priest songs a listen to
Yeah, that is a bit of a shame Bruce has no problem doing songs from the Blaze Bailey or Paul Di'Anno eras. The ironic thing is The Ripper albums aren't too far off from the kind of Music Halford made with Fight.
@@scottsmusicandvids716 Ironically, K.K. said the songs from Fight & Halford could have been used for Judas Priest but probably they would have been re-worked a little bit to fit their style.
As a person who's got same tessitura and potential to be Halford's doppel, want to say that Rob's vocal was more about studio experience and instrumental design of voice. Having large number of vocal technics and some kind of natural composership talent made all albums up to Painkiller fantastic. He is the same, but not the same. Also natural vocal barrier of baritone (as i think he is baritone) made all Halford's vocal parts a bit more tricky. As for Ripper, I might say that his vocal line were disigned to sound live the same as on albums. They even tune down all music parts to make the vocals more smooth. That also made him the same everywhere.
I've noticed that it seems to work better if the voices are similar. (Except in my Cathedral Spires case!) Phil's style was pretty gutteral. But as Cemetery Gates showed us, he could hit some notes! Now I'm curious about AI Rob with CFH material. Pantera inspired Rob to do the Fight albums, but it's still a different vocal style.
I'll give it a shot. Ripper's voice is surprisingly difficult to convert to Halford's. You'd think it would be easy since they have similar voice types! As far as your Bon Jovi request, I'm going to make a more detailed Geoff Tate model this weekend. I only used samples from Mindcrime so it doesn't have much of his lower register to build from.
I just tried it and...the A.I. didn't know what to do because it still sounds like Ripper but like he's gargling half the time. If you really want to hear it let me know and I'll learn it and convert my voice to Rob's.
This is really great application of AI! Too sad these albums are out of streaming nowadays. May be there are not the best, but they still part of Judas Priest legacy
Not the best, no, but still some good songs on each one. Ironically, Rob wanted to make music like this, so he left Priest and formed Fight. At least we got War of Words! (I haven't heard A Small Deadly Space).
@@scottsmusicandvids716 exactly! But I can't find these albums in Spotify, for example, and it's sad, it looks like they hiding these albums. (of course in reality it is most likely some copyright issues, but still)
I definitely prefer Ripper Owens on this one. He really makes this song. It was still interesting to see how RH might have handled it. I think on JPs live concerts, this song should be left to Ripper. As good as Halford is he sounds a little out of place here.
This is Ripper's jam, and (during this phase), he was the best man for the task.
yep
and many like myself were fortunate to get to see them Live, on both Album tours> 🤘
This is one of the best Judas Priest songs, in my opinion.
Most of Jugulator rips, way better than Demolition. Yet only Demolition is easy to listen to on streaming
By far

Rob has never heard Ripper's work. Right. I bought that right away... :)
Still sounds 90% like Ripper

Ripper rules.
Tried to make an AI cover of Painkiller using Phil Anselmo's vocals during the CFH era, but it ended up sounding absolutely dreadful. 😂

Tim is beyond and above.
only ripper can sing these song of priest

Can you have Tim Owens do Firepower? That would be so awesome!
Make Hellfire Thunderbolt of Kk's, please

who CARES..this is NOT ROB VOICE.. SOUNDS REDIICKULOUS...Rob will NEVER SING THESE TUNES.
It's too bad. I'd like to hear Rob sing Hell is Home?

No one can sing heavy metal as Metal God.
Still sounds like Ripper .. not hearing Halford .. sorry.
Ripper destroys Halford in this song Not even close
Ripper is no match to Rob in his prime.
True, but that IS a pretty high bar!
Sorry but nope. This is Tim’s song
