Fazıl Say was born in 1970. He was a child prodigy, who was able to do basic arithmetic with 4-digit numbers at the age of two. His father, having found out that he was playing the melody of "Daha Dün Annemizin" (Turkish version of Ah! vous dirai-je, maman) on a makeshift flute with no prior training, enlisted the help of Ali Kemal Kaya, an oboist and family friend. At the age of three, Say started his piano lessons under the tutelage of pianist Mithat Fenmen.[1]
Say wrote his first piece - a piano sonata - in 1984, at the age of fourteen, when he was a student at the Conservatory of his home town Ankara. It was followed, in this early phase of his development, by several chamber works without an opus number, including Schwarze Hymnen for violin and piano and a guitar concerto. He subsequently designated as his opus 1 one of the works that he had played in the concert that won him the Young Concert Artists Auditions in New York: the Four Dances of Nasreddin Hodja (1990). This work already displays in essence the significant features of his personal style: a rhapsodic, fantasia-like basic structure; a variable rhythm, often dance-like, though formed through syncopation; a continuous, vital driving pulse; and a wealth of melodic ideas that may often be traced back to themes from the folk music of Turkey and its neighbours. In these respects, Fazıl Say stands to some extent in the tradition of composers like Béla Bartók, George Enescu, and György Ligeti, who also drew on the rich musical folklore of their countries. He attracted international attention with the piano piece Black Earth, Op. 8 (1997), in which he employs techniques made popular by John Cage's works for prepared piano.[2]

Hi Avi, most Turkish people get tears when they heard this song.
this song is written by one of our biggest poets, Bedri Rahmi Eyupoglu. Bedri Rahmi wrote this for our biggest poet Nazım Hikmet, who was expelled and exiled for many years because of his left-sided opinions.
this sad poem was composed by Zülfü Livaneli, who was exelled for his left sided opinions too and Fazıl Say made this a great song...
That lion lies at Anıtkabir.
🇹🇷👍👍👍
👏👏👏👏👏
my dear friend
If I'm right, the story goes like this:
It belongs to Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, a well-known Turkish painter, writer and poet. As you can imagine, it is a section taken from his poem "Zindanı Taştan Oyarlar / They Carve the Dungeon out of Stone", which he wrote for his friend Nâzım Hikmet, who is imprisoned in Bursa Prison and who is on hunger strike. This section is also known by different names in our country such as " Yiğidim aslanım / My brave lion " or " Yiğidim aslanım burda yatıyor / My brave lion lies here". Here is this episode. Zülfü Livaneli, a versatile artist like Eyüboğlu, composed this poem while he was in exile in Sweden after the September 12, 1980 coup in Turkey. Journalist-Writer Uğur Mumcu, who was assassinated as a result of the explosion of a bomb placed in his car in front of his house by foreign intelligence service agents on January 24, 1993 in Ankara, started to cry when he heard this composition. When asked why he was crying, he replied, "This is the lament of all martyrs of the revolution." he said. This composition was sung together by approximately 200,000 participants at Uğur Mumcu's funeral. It became a cult and became famous as "Uğur Mumcu Ağıt / Uğur Mumcu Lament". Years later, it was re-orchestrated by Fazıl Say for the commemoration of Uğur Mumcu. Here, this video is an example performed on the anniversary of Uğur Mumc's death. By the way, as for the only lady master dressed in Red. If you pay attention, it has also white parts on it. As I mentioned above, 'This is the lament of all martyrs of the revolution.' In reference to his word, he carries the colors of the Turkish flag to represent them.

👍🏼👍🏼❤️
It was written by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu for Nazım Hikmet and composed by Zülfü Livaneli. However, it is a wonderful piece that we sing together for our values such as Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Uğur Mumcu, Nazım Hikmet, whom we love, never forget, and whose path we know our way through.
👍👏🇹🇷❤️

This poem was originally written by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu for Nâzım Hikmet. Nâzım Hikmet is currently on hunger strike in the prison in Bursa, and Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu is abroad. The purpose of this poem is actually to support Nâzım Hikmet (Kocatepe). The feelings that have already been mentioned in the poem are that Nâzım Hikmet did not deserve these executions and how sad Eyüboğlu is about this. No matter how much the most repetitive line “My brave lion lies here” sounds like a “grave”, it actually tells something else. Eyüboğlu meant this for his pity while Nâzım Hikmet was in prison, in fact, his place is not a place where he is restricted like a prison, but the place where he is free, that is, outside, maybe even Eyüboğlu is next to his friend.
As for the composition part... After composing this song, Zülfü Livaneli had his close friend Uğur Mumcu listen to it and he was greatly appreciated. Although the song was dedicated to Mumcu after his death, this song is also sung for many other names such as Tarık Akan and Atatürk (Kocatepe).
Barış Manço - SesVerSus (Acapella). Can you react to this music video😊 This bands sings Barış Manço songs. I think they are very talented.
Hey AV please react Besiktas trip Napoli deplase ! 😄 Thanks
In this music, the lion is Atatürk ❤
Can you make a video comparing the prices of food products in Turkey and the average food product in Europe 🙏
