Holy Cow! It took 45 years, but I finally found out what my younger brother was talking about when he said the dumbest thing he ever saw was "TV Pow". I had forgotten all about it as he died at the age of 12 from leukemia a year and a half after this broadcast aired. Well, John, I finally saw it, and yes, I agree with you. Next to my first girlfriend, "TV Pow" was, indeed, the dumbest thing I ever saw.
I'm guessing because Roy Brown wasn't present, there could be no Garfield Goose bit, although I know on at least one occasion, Gar was being performed and Roy Brown appeared on screen as Cooky. I'm sure there were other performers who worked the Garfield puppet and not just Roy so it once again must be for time that Gar got shafted yet again.
I still sing it on occasion when I change out light bulbs at work. The younger employees are like "WTF is he singing?" My contemporaries, on the other hand, usually sing along.
Since Roy Brown was absent as Cooky in these 2 shows, i've always wondered that he's either being sick, not getting called on being part of the show only for few days or went out of town?
He was arrested for the murders of approximatly 30 victims that were found in a crawl space of a house in Desplanes. Thankfully all the charges were eventually cleared and he was free to go when they soon found the real suspect...
The Love American Style clip at the end featured character actor Stuart Margolin. His brother Arnold was the co-executive producer/ creator of the series Stuart was known for playing "Angel " Martin on The Rockford Files and it's 90's television films. He was also a songwriter, producer, and multiple Emmy winner.
