Problem with my engine is its really a drag racing engine, big camshaft, high spring pressures, big stoke 4.5" and big bore 4.6", 598ci engine and im trying to ring it near 8000rpm. The oil getting hot is a good sign its doing its job getting heat out of the motor but it climbs that fast at those rpms it would need an icebox to make an effective difference.
I fitted a decent pwr finned one upfront in the past and it did next to nothing so took it off. It needs an icebox or something to make a decent difference. Generally the tyres are done by the time it gets hot so its manageable how it is.
It was but I stuffed it up, I ran 25psi in rears to try but I found car just grips up instantly when I back off the throttle rather than what I was expecting it to do. Was lucky that wall is so low and hit below the bumper.

No handbrake just makes it even better. Can drive.
I was using the foot brake instead to slow it up, I couldn't use the handbrake as it needs to be warmed up for it to work.

One day you might get around to fitting that oil cooler to fix all your overheating issues
