I am so happy to have found your videos. I’m 72 and I’ve been bead weaving for about five years. It’s time to sell and I’m not sure where to start. I would love to have your expert advice. I’m in the process of devouring your tutorials on TH-cam. Thank you for taking the time to help so many.
I love your shop and your aesthetic.. I am working on setting my space for my workshop now. I just decided that I am going to spend my time doing what I love and I don't care if I don't become a millionaire doing it lol. I appreciate all the free advice and sharing your techniques with us.❤
Thank you so much! 😉 And congrats on setting up your workspace and going for it!! Woohoo! Sometimes you just need to start somewhere and see where it takes you! 🤗✨✨✨
Hi Megan, I have just found you. I have watched a few videos so far and love your approach, very inspirational. I took Jewelery about 20 years ago and never persuade, I still have the equipment. I am the happiest when I am creating. I have dragged all my stuff out and so excited to get started again, have so many ideas. Thank you so much for your videos. Cheers from Ontario, Canada 🍁 😊
Megan, you are the sweetest person I have ever found! I am so happy I did find you as I am learning so much from you to start my jewelry business. I still feel a little overwhelmed, but I am going to binge watch your videos to hopefully have it all go away. 🤞
Megan, I am a new subscriber. I love the information you have shared. I am looking to open my jewellery business and your videos are really helpful. Thanks for sharing
Hiya, thank you for this very helpful film. I'm totally bowled over by how generous you and other jewellery makers like Stardust Mine Jewellery are with your time and help. I'm just starting out, I have health problems, I have a bad habit of having heart attacks! Four so far, plus being on crutches. I love doing the work but have a lot of problems designing items. When I watched your video on your best selling neckless, I thought I could make that, I was an electrician before being injured so working with my hands has always been my thing. Don't worry I won't steal your design. I agree with a lady in the comments for it, it does remind me of the moon. I would love to change your design to look more like a sliver of the moon, I can't design, I can modify. I love that you went from pine cone mice to gold works of mobile art. Stay safe, Steve...
Hi Steve, Oh my goodness! You sound like a survivor! 4! Wow! And you are doing great with your jewellery by the sounds of it. And sometimes adapting is a good way to start getting creative. I reckon a more 'moon' shaped version would look good too. Feel free to give it a go. ;) With regards to sharing tips and helping out the community, I know how helpful I would have found it when I started out, so I thought I'd share for those who need it. Look after yourself, Megan
Hi Jerri, So glad to hear that you found it helpful! 🤗 Id love to hear more about where you are at and talk about next steps for your jewellery business. Here's the link to find out more about how we could potentially work together. www.megancollins.co/private-coaching 😊
This information is very much appreciated! Thank you for your insight. You have helped me to understand some of the things that have set me back in selling my jewelry and have given me new ideas and new avenues of focus for getting started. You have brightened my outlook on my situation with the details and specifics that you share in this video and i have a renewed, positive attitude about seling my jewelry thanks to you!
Aaah!! I'm so so very glad to have helped you feel inspired again and get some clarity! I know how overwhelming things can seem, especially when you want it to work but don't know where to begin! Sending you lotsa positive energy! ✨✨✨✨
Hi Diane, yay! So glad you found it helpful! Yes I use Fivrr. It's an online platform where you can outsource any task you need help with. It saves so much time!! 😉
@@megan.collins Thanks so much! Good to know- I'd heard Canva (Pro version) has this feature now, but I've not tried it yet. FYI- you can do a 30 day free trial: th-cam.com/video/3tlF9cAgiM4/w-d-xo.html
@@dianethompson8079 Hi Diane, yes it does!! It works pretty well on profile pictures, but still going to test it out on intricate jewellery. Would highly recommend getting Canva pro though just for everything graphic design! The Pro version is do worth it for so many reasons!!
That's up to you as there is no specific set amount. But a collection usually ranges from 6 - 15 pieces. You want it to still be curated so that your customer is not overwhelmed with too many choices.
You are very welcome! That makes me very happy to hear that it was helpful!! If you have any other questions feel free to drop me a line here or on Instagram @megancollins.co 😉
Technically yes, but I would recommend thinking about your target audience and the type of business you would like. One can always change and adapt as you go, but it's a good idea to think about the different price points of the jewelry in different materials. You would not want to have very high and expensive jewellery along sides very cheap jewellery as this would be speaking to two completely different target audiences. Hope that makes sense.
I personally prefer to work in collections and I tried to bring a new one out out.of once or twice a year. Some people prefer to make new pieces all the time, but there is a lot of work involved in this. Photographs product descriptions advertising etc. I might actually do a video on this as it's a good question and there are lots of pros and cons for each.
Thanks Michelle! Glad you enjoyed it!! And hope enjoy your hairpin! Thanks for the order! 🤗 Im away in Poland for a TH-cam collaboration. Back on Monday Eve so will post it for you on Tuesday! 🫶😊
