The buses are incredible but you’re right, the horns are quite eccentric in tones! 😂 as for the rickshaw driver there are some rickshaw drivers who see the opportunity to scam if you give them a chance. Harry and you did well to stay firm though.

Always negotiate with texi or rickshaw drivers the fare or the price before getting into it. Ask them how much and then always bargain with them coz bargaining is mandatory in Pakistani society. Another best practice would be asking a local how much would they pay for that much distance or the rent in case of a hotel. Remember always negotiate and always bargain. Usually they always tell you the double price so whatever they say, tell them the half of whatever is the asking price.

5-10 minutes ride in a Rikshaw u should be paying around 100-200 Rupees !

You can specify the places you want to visit or restaurants and markets through the maps on the Internet and make a list for them before you leave the hotel

Hey when ever I visit Pakistan, I was taking an out of the counter medicine named 'Risik' ( small sachet packet)for stomach up set once or twice a week which did help me greatly. And I enjoyed the local food avoiding diarrhea!!

Really happy seeing your travelling vlog of Pakistan, while in karachi you should try places and food
1. Burns Road (food street)
2. Ferrer Hall (one of the oldest church)
3. Tariq Road (buy local and international clothing)
4. Lucky One Mall (you can find Carrefour to give the middleeast vibe ;) )
For food try these
1. Anday wala Burger (Burger with Meat and Egg you get on street stall only)
2. Paratha Chai (breakfast)
3. Ras Malai (a kind of desert)
4. Chana Chaat
5. Gol Guppay (also called as Pani Puri worldwide)
and the list endless, if i was aware of your channel i should have guided you as was on vacation this month in Karachi only.

For Cheese Parathas go for any restaurants which has QUETTA people - U can easily identify them with their Caps (worn in the mountain areas of the North) and you will enjoy their unbelievable Hospitality!!

Absolutely, the best hotels all over the country have Quetta in the name.10 months here and best breakfast was at Quettas
First he thought you were asking for food street but then he thought you meant fruit. That's why he took you a fruit market. Then he asked you if you wanted him to wait for you to take you back.
You can ask a passerby to help you explain your destination and negotiate the fare with the rickshaw and cab drivers. And always decide the fare before you get in the cab or rickshaw.

As for biryani you can always ask them to make it less spicy. They don't mix the whole rice with spices. They keep some plain white rice in the cauldron and when people ask for less spicy biryani, they mix more white rice in the plate. But normally they guess that you'll get a less spicy one because westerners can't eat much spicy food like we do. Even our kids love it spicy.
