- Today we'll show you how to make an animated subscribe button for TH-cam videos. Many of you requested this tutorial and asked us how we inserted it into our videos, so here it is: I'll tell you all about it (and give you a trick or two, too!). Whether you have a Canva Pro or a Canva Free account, creating this animated button is really easy and fun: just follow my steps!

Thank you for this! I use iMovie to edity videos and I don't think that feature is in there to remove the green background. Is there a workaround for that for iMovie?

Everytime I upload an image now to my free Canva account from unsplash or pixabay and add text to it and enlarge the pic, the thumbnail size shrinks when I upload it to TH-cam thumbnails. It either had Black or White edges showing on the sides of the thumbnails after I upload the thumbnail to TH-cam. How can I overcome this?
If I dont have adobe premier to make the transparency option what can I use? I am currently using Movie Maker - Video Editor Pro
You’ll need to find a video editing software that allows you to do chroma key.
You can Google it and see what options are available 😊

Let me ask you. Why do you have to use another tool (Premier Pro) to remove the green screen? Couldn't this be done using the "background remover" function inside Canva?
The video was made before the BG Remover for video existed in Canva. Also, I’m not sure it works well with buttons. Have you tried?

I have the following questions:
1) (8:55) How do you add in the icon sound? When both the Insta and TikTok icons appear?
2) (0:57) How do you do these animated transition layers?
3) (6:10) Will it be possible to insert all these animated icons directly within Canva video editing? Or in Final Cut Pro? I am just trying to find out if there's a work around without using the green screen/ green background.

Hi Henri,
all good questions here. You have to realize we edit our videos in Premiere Pro at the moment and sometimes use animations and sound FX that we add to our timeline there.
Like the IG/TikTok sound FX or the transitions.
We hope that we will soon be able to do all that in Canva one day 🤞

This was very helpful I had been looking for them under elements not under videos. So I ended up making my own anyway because I could not find these ones. How do you get rid of the Green backgrounds do you need to download and use a video background remover as 95% of people don't have a background remover professional video editing software? It's okay I found a solution thank you.

@@emmanuelekanemyt8803 I could not remove it, but I did choose white backgrounds and cropped the video just like a picture. It works. I have a video coming out on Monday.

I almost made it till the end and then got stuck because I use iMovie to edit :( do you know how to make it transparent on iMovie by any chance ?
I’m not sure iMovie has this feature. I’ve never really used it TBH.
It seems like we need a bridge from a video system before jumping to TH-cam am I right? Your video bridge is Adobe Pro, so without this Adobe Pro there is no video bridge directly to TH-cam?

Quick tip - You said that green background is important for the animation in Premier Pro. That's not the case, you only showed that we can use the eye dropper tool.
Thought I know that GREEN SCREEN is the most famous, but it is possible to go for any other colour also, which isn't in our subscribe animation
You're right, commonly we use green and blue in video production.

And also there are less tattoos of these colour. Etc

Yes, pretty much!
We also use other tools to record our Talking heads (OBS) and screen recordings (QuickTime Player).
How did you create the animated social media button?
With Canva and After effects.

Hi good morning, it’s really nice video. I am able to make a TH-cam subscribe button with help of this video. I m using Final Cut Pro, I can remove the green screen on Final Cut but my animated subscription icon is fixed on the screen page. I am not able to move to desired location on the screen. Please advise how to move the subscription icon after removing green screen. Thanks

I upgraded to Pro, but Canva didn't even have these cool templates. Not sure if being in Australia has anything to do with it - but the only button Canva offered me was free anyway. Just be careful before you upgrade. I thought that by maybe upgrading it would unlock those cool templates, but no. :(

we are also in Australia and get a lot of search results for " *TH-cam button* " for example. Limited options for Free but quite a lot of YT Buttons with Pro.
Make sure you try different keywords, that you are on the Elements tab and you filter by graphics 😉

There are some free video editing apps out there, you just need to find one that can remove green screens.
