I have totally removed myself from using Chavaunt since the new Monster clay came out! This stuff is fantastic! Heats with a hair dryer or heat gun, keep it warm and pliable by placing it under a light bulb. Smooth out tool marks by lightly using said heating tools and it doesn't stick to your tools!! For lighter smoothing you can use low order Turpenoid or Isopropyl Alcohol.
I've used Monster Clay a while back! I liked it. It was bit more waxy than Chavaunt but nice to work with. I may have to give it a try again if its a new formula!
I works wonders for me, but of course I work on larger pieces than what I have seen you do. But all in all your work is great, I am impressed. With me, I just can't work that small. I do really Like the fly you sculpted. I do like your drill chuck you have used to hold your armature wire, very inventive.@@clayformations1638

Yes, I have! I enjoyed using it, I remember it being very smooth and silky... and it doesn't stick to your tools! That's why I primarily work with polymer clay! I don't have to make a mold!😁

Okay rural living... and also age... time vs. money... a couple extra bucks for a tool you may use vs. possible hours lost to try to make due without said tool and/or getting tool. Again, more tools always best. Buy cheap if it helps yer brain... and when you realize you use often enough upgrade to decent.

Have you try monster clay? Same consistency of chavan but is nice to work on it but the problem is yo have to make mold when you done😢.
