This rink is also home to the iconic Wisconsin Early Bird youth hockey tournament, which my brother played in. I’ve been to the arena for that tournament and it’s a very nice arena. The two-rink arenas are unique imo, there’s one big rink and then a small rink for youth hockey. And oh yeah, the Capitols arena is way better because the youth hockey rink has no stands at all. Nonetheless, the renovations recently made the arena look a lot better. Great arena
I hated playing at Bob suter’s if I wasn’t on the main rink. They host the state tournament here for high school and they absolutely packed the barn! But the building design just made it seem quiet.
The trophies under the wall of honor don't look like they belong to the Capitols themselves; they're more likely from the youth teams! The Wisconsin-shaped trophies in particular are for placing in the state youth tournament - I would know, as I've won a few of them ;)
The municipal rink in Eau Claire has a sheet that is NCAA DIII for the UWEC. That rink has an actual Leslie RS3L train horn hanging from the ceiling for teams to use. Its loud!
I am so happy I came across your channel, you probably won’t believe me but I am the DJ for the Madison capitols I Am responsible for all the music and lights that go on during the game, I’m more than happy to hear that you loved the environment that was created! And if you are ever in town you can catch me in the booth with the Elite signs posted around it
No way! That’s awesome! Glad you found the video. You guys really do a great job with the in game atmosphere. I’m hoping to make it to more Capitols games since I live only like an hour away. I’ll be sure to come and say hi if I’m there!
@@benhuebner188 Ooooh! Temping but I already have plans this Friday night. I’ll have to look at the schedule and let you know! I need some Caps merch when I come. They have a sweet logo but such small selection.
I personally hate the Capitols since they are the main Wisconsin rival to the Green Bay Gamblers. I personally love the USHL. You should be a puck hawk like me. I have many hockey pucks myself. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! I’m really glad to hear that since I have two already filmed and in the queue to do this month! Both were great experiences that I’m excited about editing and getting out. Make sure you stay tuned to see them. I appreciate the support!
I’d image the atmosphere in the coliseum would be pretty empty. This is a really small barn but the way they were able to configure the seating is really unique and they have some great atmosphere.
Oh yeah. The seating configuration is pretty brutal. The barn really wasn’t meant to host USHL which is the biggest reason why it’s so wonky. If you’re a CHL fan, I’ve done stadium reviews on 2 CHL stadiums thus far that you may enjoy. Thanks for commenting!

It really is a great place to take on a game.

The building is super odd.
the stampedes arena will surprise ya that’s fs
I’m super excited to get out that way.
should go to the kohl center for either badger hockey or basketball
I was there a few weeks ago for a hockey game vs. Michigan and plan on getting the video out in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Haha! Love that flex!
They have a real horn! Sweet!
Yeah! They’re goal horn is super loud.

Dollar beer nights are a whole different atmosphere! There is one this Friday night!

My sister had a hockey tournament there before
That’s awesome! It’s a small barn but a pretty cool venue nonetheless.
@@SACSportsAdventures it is very cool. It’s that nice mix between professional stadium and small town barn
I am from Oregon Wisconsin and I was one of the kids on the ice during the intermission in the video

That’s fair. Can’t support the rivals. I did love visiting Green Bay! Do you have a lot of game used pucks then?
@@SACSportsAdventures I actually have 2 game used pucks so I do collect them when I can.
Can't wait to see you do more USHL arenas!

Come to Lincoln next.
Not sure when I’ll be able to make it out there. If it’s this year, it’ll be in the spring.
Can’t wait for you to come to Youngstown
February 17! ;) I’ve got it planned already.
I went to capitals games back at the coliseum but never at the new arena

Brutal. CHL rinks have a bigger seating capacity

Dry buns are a real bummer, man
I know. It was tragic… bummer, man.
Its bad. Im from sioux city and we went for the last game of the clark cup finals. There is no leg room and you have no service
Hmmm. Interesting to hear. There was no leg room or service in Madison’s arena either. Seems to be a theme in the USHL. Haha! Thanks for the info!
I mean you don't have much going on in Iowa in general
you should go to the 2022 clark cup champions arena next
I’ve got two other USHL videos coming out shortly and would love to get Sioux City on my list for next year!
