You can argue the MC´s motivation is a bit shallow, but hey, at least he has the balls to actually f*ck the girls in his harem! I would really want to see this turned anime, preferably as true to the manga as possible. There are just not enough SciFi isekai titles out there.
The reason Elma "adviced" Mimi and gave her the negligee and some "medicine" and that Elma herself was embarrassed when Hiro offered to take them as his crew members is because of the social norm that someone accepting crew membership on a ship with an opposite sex captain is considered common-law marriage, essentially. A male captain taking on any women as his crew gains said women as his own. It's common sense in the setting, but Hiro didn't know until after he'd already slept with Elma. After that whenever he picks up a crewmate, he wants the comfort to that fact to be mutual and OK with the rest of the crew (which it is every time). "What amazes her is that Elma had 3 million enel on hand." She was 3 million short of the total fine. The totality of her assets amounted to IIRC 37 million, even with the Swan being totalled.
...It's a little more nuanced than that. In the distance past, when FTL journeys took years to make, a woman being on a man's ship... well... boredom and desire would creep in and it would happen. In modern times where journeys can be days or weeks, it's not as assumed and pronounced. The fact that he was basically letting them live on the ship because... neither really had anywhere to go... is what really seals it as far as modern day goes. And both probably felt something about the huge debt that they had with him even if he made it clear that that wasn't the reason he was helping them.
For people who wanna read the rest; The manga* is called ”Mezametara Saikyou Soubi To Uchuusen” And he ended on chapter 29.2 so start reading at chapter 30.1 😁 *welp i guess i was wrong about it being a manwha

A fun thing with the manga is that the scenes with Mimi and Elma's debts were basically carbon copies when it came to the panels, even the exact same expressions. Well, except Elma's "are you serious?" reaction at Hiro making his decision and Mimi being overjoyed that he'll help Elma.
Freaking love this series. The type of world he's in (And game type author rebranded) is equivalent to Elite Dangerous. While I did try it out, I immediately quit because my computer could barely run it and the first thing I did upon entering was pick up something that ended up with a million dollar fine for "Illegal cargo" the first moment I ran into authorities, so yeah no, not a game to go into without a plan. As for the Manga itself, love it. It's one of few series that shows interesting space combat without having to add mechs to make things "interesting". On top of having many high-class heroines and an MC that fits the world (ruthless and knowledgeable because that's the type of game it was and the type of world he has to survive in)

I actually like this story a lot more than the others. Like it's nice to have it where someone isn't taken to a mid evil world, but taken to a space like universe.

If you like this, I really want to recommend another manga written by the same author called *Survival in Another World with My Mistress.* It is more of a traditional Isekai where the main character, Kousuke ends up in a fantasy world where demi-humans fight against humanity. Here he is found by a dark-skinned elf named Sylphy who thinks he is an enemy. When he explains everything, she suspects that he is one of the "fabled visitors". She then takes him as a "slave" to protect him from the hatred of the rest of the demi-humans. Humanity in this world has deliberately attacked, robbed and raped the families of most of the people who live there. But already that same night, Kousuke and Sylphy end up in bed with each other and have seggs, lots of seggs! She then refers to herself as his wife as well. The two are extremely cute together. And regarding seggs, if you were unhappy with the lack of it in this manga that was in the LN, you'll get it in that manga. Lots of it! and what is shown is often graphic with lots of nudity and bodily fluids bordering on h-manga. Finally, all the main characters in Isekai get many special powers. Kousukes are Minecraft powers! Yep, Minecraft. And everyone's reactions to his completely impossible powers are hysterically fun to watch. I mean, he builds a wall in minutes around a village, chops a tree that in a cloud of smoke is cut down, debarked and straighter than the original tree. or builds a wall, removes the lower part and the rest floats in the air. "What is going on?!" is often pronounced. Anyway, I can't recommend it more than I do! it's really great and one of my absolute favorite manga series. if you want a recap, search for: "He Ended Up In A Survival Game And Met An Elf Princess" part 1 and 2.

I've been reading the light novel version of this. I'm completely liking it. Story and writing are up there with Overlord. Reincarnated as a Slime and How a realistic hero rebuilt the kingdom.
I'm a big fan of the novel series. One of thing little things that explains a lot is in the culture of this starfaring society if a Captain of the opposite gender invites you onto a ship it also means they expect this to be a professional and romantic relationship. Also, it is normal for the captain of a ship to form a harem. So Elma explained that to Mimi, which resulted in everything you already know.

He asks for 5k likes and gets 17k likes I feel like that should mean that 2,3,and 4 should all be ready for us. The thing is he said 2 was available but the post makes no sense to me.
Currently in the web novel he has seven women in the harem. One great thing is that neither the manga or the novel shy away from him having sex with each of them, but it doesn't get into the actual details. Old-school fade to black and continue filming the morning after. We're adults here, we can figure out what takes place, and there's no need to turn the story into actual smut. Even in-story he's asked how the hell he managed to get such a harmonious harem. Well, they each have an actual job on the crew, with Mimi especially on an upward learning track, and most of their "off-shore" downtime is spent just hanging out in front of the holo-TV with marathons, playing games, etc., eating different kinds of food, and they've agreed on a rotation on who gets to spend the night with him in turn. Plus it's mandatory to have daily workouts at the ship's gym. And whenever they visit a colony, there's ship maintenance, checking out the sights, and whatever trouble Hiro gets himself into. They find a lot of things to fill their time with and take it easy, so it isn't like a den of rabbits 24/7. The only real potential drama has been Mimi's fear of abandonment, but at the point of the story I'm at in the WN (ch.415) this has been long since resolved, and nobody gets into the harem without consensus. Thing is, being a pirate hunter pays a LOT of money and Hiro's exceptionally good at managing it when compared to his peers in-universe (who'd spend their money on booze and women for a few months before going on the hunt again), so he's managed to furnish his ship for max comfort, gotten his crew geared out, and practically bathes his women in luxury.

And yeah, you really aught to check out the wn. Some differences are there compared to the light novel and manga, but that's the nature of web novels.

The web versions are kinda rough in spots due to no editing and translation weirdness here and there. But it's still fun to get a look at what's coming up for the fully refined light novel version.

The Interdictor spacecraft that pulls ships out of hyperspace is based on a spaceship in the Star Wars universe developed by the Galactic Empire during it's fight with Rebels, it is not as large as the Imperial Star Destroyer but similarly shaped and call the interdictor-class cruiser. I think it's cool seeing things like this.

Still wish they'd make an anime of this one. Its story is much better put together than most isekai and the MC is not one of those dense as Osmium morons as well as not being a scumbag.
Plus his physical relationship with his harem is presented as harmonious and it doesn't even need to get explicit. It actually focuses more on them appreciating each other's company after work hours. The story is high intensity combat bracketed by slow life (which does include him getting physical with his harem, but that's just the way of things). A lot of isekai have the personal relationships shallow and more as an excuse to present the physical side of it, if the protag isn't dense to ignore the women entirely. But if you want a more typical fantasy isekai that has a harem that competes for the MC's attention and he eventually goes from celibate to physical with his harem members, there's Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari. The art is exquisite, but it took half the series for him to lay his hands on any one of his wives.

God damn! A harem anime where the hero actually gets a real harem, not just a bunch of girls fighting over him.
Currently in the web novel he has seven women in the harem.
One great thing is that neither the manga or the novel shy away from him having sex with each of them, but it doesn't get into the actual details. Old-school fade to black and continue filming the morning after. We're adults here, we can figure out what takes place, and there's no need to turn the story into actual smut.
Even in-story he's asked how the hell he managed to get such a harmonious harem. Well, they each have an actual job on the crew, with Mimi especially on an upward learning track, and most of their "off-shore" downtime is spent just hanging out in front of the holo-TV with marathons, playing games, etc., eating different kinds of food, and they've agreed on a rotation on who gets to spend the night with him in turn. Plus it's mandatory to have daily workouts at the ship's gym. And whenever they visit a colony, there's ship maintenance, checking out the sights, and whatever trouble Hiro gets himself into. They find a lot of things to fill their time with and take it easy, so it isn't like a den of rabbits 24/7. The only real potential drama has been Mimi's fear of abandonment, but at the point of the story I'm at in the WN (ch.415) this has been long since resolved, and nobody gets into the harem without consensus.
Thing is, being a pirate hunter pays a LOT of money and Hiro's exceptionally good at managing it when compared to his peers in-universe (who'd spend their money on booze and women for a few months before going on the hunt again), so he's managed to furnish his ship for max comfort, gotten his crew geared out, and practically bathes his women in luxury.
@@Tounushi how many chapters does the WN currently have? Or it's complete already? Been planning to start reading it but hesitating the translation could be quite a turn off (since some WN I read could be said be quite badly translated. This is reason why I stick to LN)
@@kitoji3984 the wn translation is alright, even if they adjust proper nouns every so often. By my understanding the raws are up to 420, but translations are still at 415.
And yeah, you really aught to check out the wn. Some differences are there compared to the light novel and manga, but that's the nature of web novels.

I didn't make it 5 minutes into this video before deciding to read the manga, the most enjoyable part of the series is he doesn't go out looking for trouble... it just seems to know where he is most of the time.

Same here. I bought hard copies of the manga and the light novels. Then went over to novelupdates to read the rough web version that continues on. Fantastic series. The web versions are kinda rough in spots due to no editing and translation weirdness here and there. But it's still fun to get a look at what's coming up for the fully refined light novel version.

The Interdictor spacecraft that pulls ships out of hyperspace is based on a spaceship in the Star Wars universe developed by the Galactic Empire during it's fight with Rebels, it is not as large as the Imperial Star Destroyer but similarly shaped and call the interdictor-class cruiser. I think it's cool seeing things like this.

Its story is much better put together than most isekai and the MC is not one of those dense as Osmium morons as well as not being a scumbag.
He may not be dense, but he is very much a scumbag.
Plus his physical relationship with his harem is presented as harmonious and it doesn't even need to get explicit. It actually focuses more on them appreciating each other's company after work hours. The story is high intensity combat bracketed by slow life (which does include him getting physical with his harem, but that's just the way of things). A lot of isekai have the personal relationships shallow and more as an excuse to present the physical side of it, if the protag isn't dense to ignore the women entirely.
But if you want a more typical fantasy isekai that has a harem that competes for the MC's attention and he eventually goes from celibate to physical with his harem members, there's Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari. The art is exquisite, but it took half the series for him to lay his hands on any one of his wives.

two things, one you would use a thermal foam like snake fireworks to flood the space behind you instead of flares because fire is really fucking hard and expensive to make in space, and two they would just be "pirates" not "space pirates" to the people used to dealing with them
