Originally, they were only made in Germany, but they were so in demand that there are now factory's in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the Philippines, making them. We get a few now and again in Sydney. As far as their fire engines go, It's the 1/50 scale versions that are better...the 1/64 are too toyish for me. Love the easy to open packaging...but it makes them a target for thieves. Very nice BMW. Siku indeed makes nice castings and good variety of vehicles, trucks, vans, cars, etc. I've got 3 Siku models so far.
