[Security, Safety & Update] Diving into SWUpdate: adding new platform support with Yocto/OE

In this talk, we will see, how in 30 minutes we can add SWUpdate support to the popular industrial single board computer : Microchip ATSAMA5D27-SOM1-EK1.
The aim is to provide a minimal support with a dual- copy strategy to work with U-Boot as bootloader.
During the presentation we will discuss about some useful tools to work with Yocto/OE and SWUpdate:
kas: the ""best"" tool for setting up the Yocto projet settings (layer, configuration files, ...).
tbot: testing/automation tool that is focused on usage in embedded development, this one will be useful during the validation with SWUpdate and U-Boot.
