I love that all the mechanical cane harvesters seen in this video were imported units built in Australia in my home town by Toft and Massey Ferguson. Gave J&L and later Cameco something to think about!

Hogs are the biggest problem in the glades sugar cane industry and to my knowledge it you speal to the right peple from processors such as United States Sugar Corp you can obtain a permit to hunt their land.

..... and the Everglades was choked leading to its slow ruination and the Lake, no longer able to drain naturally, began growing a deadly algae then when released kills everything from the lake to the ocean.

Love the propaganda of fishing in Lake Okeechobee with the wonderful fishing and now look at the massive environmental impact of present day algae blooms, destruction of habitat all link to a small family/ group of people. We don't need to go into why we in the U.S. pay so much for sugar that Coke can't afford to put it into our soft drinks.... Scumbag Industry. The Florida people should just take that land back and sue them for damages.

We should, this has gone on too long, and it's costing animals and peoples health directly and our business as well.

Florida has always and will always be about tourism since Flagler... But from when this video was made made to now, sugar has grown and is expanding more every year... Back in the day sugar season started october ended in December NOW it ends in mid april that's over a 100% increase... They are taking this sugar out of the deepest corners of palm beach, hendry, and martin county and probably even more...

Extracted sugar isolated is toxic to humans! It's a fucking drug! Leave sugar in fruit!

Where do you think this money for tourism comes from if you don't have proper industry you don't have tourist it's that simple tourism is only a money spinner not a earner.
