The Forgotten 1953 "All Engines Go" NWR Advert

In 1953, the NWR created a mascot based on Thomas the Tank Engine to promote rail travel with the slogan; "To Sodor Is Where All Engines Go... And So Can You!"
Due to the mascot's mixed (mostly negative) reception from the public, the campaign was short-lived.
