Hi! I just want to say that I really appreciate your videos. I'm 31 and decided to go back to school last year to get a degree in education (I have been doing management in retail and haven't been in school since 2009). While going to school and working full-time I have gotten overwhelmed and have felt like quiting several times. But when I watch your videos it reminds me why I wanted to change careers and motivates me to keep going! Thank you!!! Just know your doing good work and inspire more people than you know!
I'm the opposite. I'm also 31 but desperately trying to get out of teaching. It's just so hard to decide what else I want to do.

I loved this video so much! I felt like a volunteer observing your classroom. Such a fun idea. I think you should do more of these! Especially just watching you teach, so helpful to see a positive learning space.
Thank you so much for sharing a full day. I've been really trying to figure out how to do small groups with reading groups and this was a big help. There is always so much more that I want to do in a day but feel like I'm just trying to survive right now. I love the ideas of centers but our school doesn't "allow" for centers which is a bummer in my opinion. Keep sharing please. Love another first grade teacher!
Perhaps don't have physical centers, but atleast have center items on shelves and then they can somehow spread out and work in pairs?
You make being a combo teacher look so easy but I know how much effort you put into making sure that all your students succeed and it’s so inspiring! I hope when I have my own classroom that I can create a warm and welcoming environment like you have, keep up the great work and know that everything you do is much appreciated!
