Tora needed 60,000 gold for those parts for Poppi a few episodes back and got 48,000 from just one nopon in 2 hours. Maybe if he opened an arcade, he could have finished Poppi years ago
I don't think he would have been okay with people being in the house with Poppi incomplete- it'd have been extremely easy for someone to damage/injure her and set back her completion, or even outright take her.

Imagine being Nia right now: you were arrested right in front of your friends, and you’re hoping beyond hope that they come to save you. Everyday your execution gets pushed back further and further, for no good reason, and everyday you pray that your friends save you, not knowing if they ever will come. You know that inevitably the day will come that your trial won’t be pushed back again, and that it’ll all be over for you then. Meanwhile, your friends are fixing cranes and playing on Tora’s grandfather’s old arcade machine
Yes, the game forces decisions like these on you regularly. Not to spoil anything but eventually you'll have to postpone matters of life and death just so the bosses don't beat you to a pulp. It's a significant break in immersion

Might be worth noting if you want to accept all the DLC without spoiling anything in menus you can just go into the menu and press y to accept everything possible at the moment. Can be very broken for newer playthroughs but the expansion pass is still super worth it in general and I'd definitely recommend getting it not only for these bonuses, but for Torna and challenge mode also. This game is just great in general! Hope everyone is enjoying this LP.
You can say that again, I replayed xenoblade 2 a few weeks ago since launch to finally try torna and the dlc, and got Te-los as my first rare blade and have been coasting through the story so easily.
Yeah one of the bonus Blades is a fire Bit ball that Nia can easily use since their normally aren't any good Fire Blades for Nia to use. The other one is best saved for the other two party members later on, and one other can be used by anyone.
@@lued123 Moving blades that way can actually break the Trust system built into the blades. There are more trust levels past the ones to unlock the skills on the blade that continue to increase the blades attack. Maybe they patched the issue (but I never saw that in any notes) but releasing a blade and binding it to another driver can cause it to be unable to build trust past S or S+

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fun fact of the day number 11: Of the rare blades that can be summoned, there is not a single one in the twin rings weapon category (the same as Dromarch). Dromarch is the only non-common blade with that weapon type.

They're a big reason why companies like EA will do anything to put any form of in-game shop that provides services for real money because whales have big wallets and small brains, meaning they're easy to exploit and have them get addicted to the feeling of superiority over people who spend no money or spend less than them. That's why in many Asian MMO games, being rich is also considered a form of skill. When GTA V online came out, you could see people spending money on in-game currency to be able to dominate over everyone else. That is the epitome of a whale. A big fish with a little brain. Back in the day, those people would be gamblers in casinos but in this day and age, they're whales because companies figured out that if you don't milk the cow dry and ruin it's life, you can keep getting money from it for a long, long time.

A tip that may help people getting into this game thanks to this LP: Common blades are super useful, some of them even have rarer and more powerful abilities than quite a few "rare" blades. Additionally, even if they aren't powerful or have useful skills, it's worth it to fill out their affinity chart, because you get item rewards for doing so, such as WP boosters that let you level up your arts faster. There's also another reason to hold onto your commons, but that comes later.
One reason we've seen is field skills. Something I just recently learned abit ago. I had no idea common blades had them for whatever reason until one randomly popped in the field

A friend I know said he STOPPED watching because of his voice, says his cheery upbeat voice grinds on your nerves after a while, and how he never swears or rages. So essentially he feels artificial.

I started "A Nopon of good tastes" about a week ago and got farther a head in the story (not too much but far enough to a point where I still can't get it for a while) . Speaking of Poppi's redesign, did Emile ever mention Pyra's beta designs? If not, Pyra looked very different. Instead of an emerald core crystal, she had a pink one. Her outfit wasn't as revealing and had white and pink coloration. Also she had twin tails which is moe as f*ck.

As someone who found the game incredibly easy even on normal difficulty, I was pretty annoyed to see that higher difficulty levels got blocked behind the expansion pass, that was very uncool.

If it sees several consecutive lines of the form "[timestamp] [seperator (optional)] [name]", it'll split the bar by the timestamps and use those names. I suspect it also needs to start with a timestamp of 0:00, and needs the timestamps to be in order. Note that this is all from observation and not reading up on it or testing it myself, though.

On another note, Proton Jon's Livestream Recordings has done timestamps like this since it started, so there are years-old videos there which immediately had chapters once they launched. Pretty cool.

I am very much enjoying this let’s play this was the first xenoblade game I played and it will always have a place in my heart as a game I will always come back to I put so many hours into this game and the dlc content with around 15 play throughs like legit, and this was the game that made me watch your xenoblade 1 let’s play because at the time I never seen the first. I loved these games ever since, this game hooked me in chapter 3 and I knew I was in for a ride.I’ve been watching your vids since I was 14 and I’m 21 now, keep up the awesome work and looking forward to following along and seeing if there are still things I don’t know about this game still.

I'm curious how many episodes this series is going to get up to being half an hour a video, 300 episode hype? it took me some 120+ to beat the game for the first time even without doing every single side quest, although that did include some core farming
It also took me about 120 hours but I did every side quest I found along the way but I hadn't bought the DLC. I also spent a good amount of time completing affinity charts so maybe 240 episodes?
So, I'm that guy from the blade and poppi explanation video that said he got Kos-Mos and Dahlia while playing along. I mention this because the FIRST time playing Tiger! Tiger! for this quest, I got the tank mod III. This playthrough is insane.
The stuff it gives applies this early all the way to the final boss, including the "second story" chugga was hinting at. I'm curious how he'll handle it, as it's a bit of a prequel story.
You got the carving in the middle of the battle, what would've happened if instead of killing all of the tirkin, you fought until you get the carving, run away, and bring it back to the client?

Joey Higbee the tirkin had to die for the quest to be able to progress, all three of the tirkin had sidequest marks over their head. Creative thinking, but sadly not a thing.

Yes, Ellis Island is a thing. It's in NYC, and it used to be the major hub for U.S. immigration on the east coast, and now holds a museum dedicated to everyone who went through Ellis Island to move to America.

Might be worth noting if you want to accept all the DLC without spoiling anything in menus you can just go into the menu and press y to accept everything possible at the moment. Can be very broken for newer playthroughs but the expansion pass is still super worth it in general and I'd definitely recommend getting it not only for these bonuses, but for Torna and challenge mode also. This game is just great in general! Hope everyone is enjoying this LP.

You can say that again, I replayed xenoblade 2 a few weeks ago since launch to finally try torna and the dlc, and got Te-los as my first rare blade and have been coasting through the story so easily.
Yeah one of the bonus Blades is a fire Bit ball that Nia can easily use since their normally aren't any good Fire Blades for Nia to use.
The other one is best saved for the other two party members later on, and one other can be used by anyone.
@@lued123 Moving blades that way can actually break the Trust system built into the blades. There are more trust levels past the ones to unlock the skills on the blade that continue to increase the blades attack. Maybe they patched the issue (but I never saw that in any notes) but releasing a blade and binding it to another driver can cause it to be unable to build trust past S or S+

Of the rare blades that can be summoned, there is not a single one in the twin rings weapon category (the same as Dromarch). Dromarch is the only non-common blade with that weapon type.

They're a big reason why companies like EA will do anything to put any form of in-game shop that provides services for real money because whales have big wallets and small brains, meaning they're easy to exploit and have them get addicted to the feeling of superiority over people who spend no money or spend less than them. That's why in many Asian MMO games, being rich is also considered a form of skill. When GTA V online came out, you could see people spending money on in-game currency to be able to dominate over everyone else. That is the epitome of a whale. A big fish with a little brain. Back in the day, those people would be gamblers in casinos but in this day and age, they're whales because companies figured out that if you don't milk the cow dry and ruin it's life, you can keep getting money from it for a long, long time.

A tip that may help people getting into this game thanks to this LP:
Common blades are super useful, some of them even have rarer and more powerful abilities than quite a few "rare" blades. Additionally, even if they aren't powerful or have useful skills, it's worth it to fill out their affinity chart, because you get item rewards for doing so, such as WP boosters that let you level up your arts faster. There's also another reason to hold onto your commons, but that comes later.
One reason we've seen is field skills. Something I just recently learned abit ago. I had no idea common blades had them for whatever reason until one randomly popped in the field

I take it seeing The World Tree is this game's version of (almost always) being able to see the other Titan from the one you're on. Nonetheless, The World Tree looks grand and majestic in its own right.
For the most part yes and I don't know if Chugga is going to go into it but there's a really dang neat detail about the world tree that gets into some really heavy spoiler territory.
Not to give XBC2 any more credit than XBC1, since you know full well how I feel about that, but the world tree definitely looks way cooler than the Mechonis.

He’s one of the few TH-camrs where it doesn’t matter what game he plays, I enjoy the playthrough. He’s that good at narrating and bringing the best out of each game.
A friend I know said he STOPPED watching because of his voice, says his cheery upbeat voice grinds on your nerves after a while, and how he never swears or rages. So essentially he feels artificial.

I started "A Nopon of good tastes" about a week ago and got farther a head in the story (not too much but far enough to a point where I still can't get it for a while) . Speaking of Poppi's redesign, did Emile ever mention Pyra's beta designs? If not, Pyra looked very different. Instead of an emerald core crystal, she had a pink one. Her outfit wasn't as revealing and had white and pink coloration. Also she had twin tails which is moe as f*ck.
At around 19:33 my internet went out, and as soon as you made the pun, the video buffered, adding a hilarious pause. My internet's comedic timing is golden sometimes.

@@LinkMountaineer As far as I'm aware, it's done just by leaving timestamps in the description. If it sees several consecutive lines of the form "[timestamp] [seperator (optional)] [name]", it'll split the bar by the timestamps and use those names. I suspect it also needs to start with a timestamp of 0:00, and needs the timestamps to be in order. Note that this is all from observation and not reading up on it or testing it myself, though.

My suspicions were correct, they do need to be in order and start with 0:00. Additionally, there needs to be at least three chapters and they need to all be at least 10 seconds long. Haven't found anything on the formatting required, but I have seen a working example of the form "[Name]: ([timestamp])", so it's more fluid than I thought.
On another note, Proton Jon's Livestream Recordings has done timestamps like this since it started, so there are years-old videos there which immediately had chapters once they launched. Pretty cool.

I am very much enjoying this let’s play this was the first xenoblade game I played and it will always have a place in my heart as a game I will always come back to I put so many hours into this game and the dlc content with around 15 play throughs like legit, and this was the game that made me watch your xenoblade 1 let’s play because at the time I never seen the first. I loved these games ever since, this game hooked me in chapter 3 and I knew I was in for a ride.I’ve been watching your vids since I was 14 and I’m 21 now, keep up the awesome work and looking forward to following along and seeing if there are still things I don’t know about this game still.

it took me some 120+ to beat the game for the first time even without doing every single side quest, although that did include some core farming
It also took me about 120 hours but I did every side quest I found along the way but I hadn't bought the DLC. I also spent a good amount of time completing affinity charts so maybe 240 episodes?
So, I'm that guy from the blade and poppi explanation video that said he got Kos-Mos and Dahlia while playing along. I mention this because the FIRST time playing Tiger! Tiger! for this quest, I got the tank mod III. This playthrough is insane.

Probably won't change. After all, you still had to kill the tirkin that made it to get it to drop.

Joey Higbee the tirkin had to die for the quest to be able to progress, all three of the tirkin had sidequest marks over their head. Creative thinking, but sadly not a thing.

Yes, Ellis Island is a thing. It's in NYC, and it used to be the major hub for U.S. immigration on the east coast, and now holds a museum dedicated to everyone who went through Ellis Island to move to America.

Uhhh, that's not true in my experience. I pulled a tank mod 3 during this playthrough on my second or third run of Tiger Tiger. It's really nice to have.
