Today I do it all for the JDM street cred. We install a genuine Bride Zeta III fixed back racing seat using a Nagisa Auto Super Low sliding seat rail.

Try skidnation bucket seats mount if you’re willing to get rid of the sliders you’ll sit way lower

Cool I'll check out Skid Nation ... Another European MX5 vendor, nice! I've used fixed mounts before and ya they really drop the seat down. This time I wanted to go for a slider to allow friends of all heights to drive the car. Thx for the comment!

Another great video, lovely seat you've got there. I find lotus elise (or even better, exige) seats fit the miata like they were made for it if you're looking for a more perfect fit!

For sure Elise/Exige seats are super-sexy in a Miata! I've kept my eye out for them for 10+ years and in my area they're rare and expensive, plus sourcing compatible seat rails. But if a set came up I'd be very tempted!

@@mostlyuselessgarage of course they're a lot more common in the UK! As far as I know you can still order a brand new one from a dealership. In the US you also have GRP (Greggs race parts) who make and sell lots of similar seats which look cool too!

how did you manage to save ori seatbelts? How can we mount the bracket for them? To the bucket seat itself?

Although on my NA6 (90-93) the inboard seat belt buckle is bolted to the transmission tunnel, the Nagisa Auto seat rail has a tab for the buckle on it.

You can with a fixed bracket (no slider) and the side brackets bolt to it. Otherwise you can fab your own bracket. But I'd like a variety of people to drive the car so the slider is needed.
