She might lowkey be the best rapper alive, male or female. Like, sure, she don't get the streams someone like Kanye or Kendrick get but quality-wise? I personally think she delivers 10 times more substance than anyone else I can think of, the only other artist I can think of that could potentially be in the debate FOR ME would be Aesop Rock (again, that's just for me, I personally only enjoy old school-y lyrical rap, mumble stuff bores me so sorry if I missed someone from that branch)
The way I found out about her was a radio interview with Kendrick Lamar where he said she was his favorite rapper. That was a full blown triple take moment for me.
I was a huge Missy Elliott fan back in the day. Simz is using the same director and paying mad homage to the come up. Even the black outfits in the video are reminiscent of Missy. Little Simz has my attention. Venom is cold af bars too and the delivery-fire.
I swear she needs more attention because she's too good to be a hidden rap gem. I think people need to promote her more. I would hate to see her go the way of janell monae, with not getting the respect she deserves.
