We all know Beyoncé deserves everything she's nominated for, but the one thing we're not going to do is invalidate other's peoples work. That was a fan voted award, she was young and had already a huge fanbase that voted religiously and that's fine, it doesn't take away from how talented or how good are the other nominees, also it wasnt even a main category and it was her first vma ever which she won being a country artist, even tho they don't usualy win these kinda of awards. What he did was wrong, period, she was only 19 and he was a full grown man. How do you feel like you can make a teenager feel shitty when you don't even know them is beyond me, but again he did what he did exactly because she was 19 and had this innocent image, because i can say with my whole chest if any of the others nominee won he wouldn't have ranned on that stage in the first place. Also Beyoncé and Kanye are part of the industry for way longer than Taylor who was at this time only releasing her second studio album, so he was experienced enough to understand how vmas work and that nothing is always 100% fair.
The thing about the VMAs was that Taylor won a smaller fan voted awarded, Beyonce won the biggest award of the night - video of the year. Beyonce even cried backstage with Taylor because she was so embarrassed and felt so bad about what Kanye did.
That award was fan voted. Taylor got more votes than Beyoncé. He was wrong. Also Beyoncé got the biggest award of the night. I would like to mention that it was her first VMA and that she was 19 years old and she was interrupted by a 32 grown ass man.
Pretty sure she was 17 actually? I mean semantics though it's just ridiculous overall. Thankfully Beyoncé later asked Taylor to come onstage to finish her speech. Kanye thought... ugh.
@@aniak9715 I think dr Phil said she was 17 but this was the 2009 VMAs - she was (obviously) born in 1989 and VMAs are a September award show (which I only know from back to December and innocent). She was 19.
imo the grammy nomination hit hard because it was for the album right after 1989, which was her era of glory, most successful album. She went into downfall immediately after receiving all awards with 1989, disappeared for a year and tried to climb back on with Reputation, and turned out Reputation wasn't even nominated. In her mind she probably thought she'd never make it back up to the top. But lil did she know her next album, Lover wrapped up for her Artist of the Decade award, and then Folklore was awarded Album of the Year. Evermore may not be up for the next nomination but she's already working on so many projects all at once at the moment.
When she is talking about politics, she is speaking about the Senator from Tennessee, Marsha Blackburn. I'm from Tennessee and have been told many times to keep my personal politics and beliefs to myself. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing, but it's not unrealistic (even though it's wrong) to be told to be sweet, smile, and keep your opinions to yourself! That's why it was so important that she spoke out, in my opinion 😊
I think so the point where Kanye was wrong that it was Taylor's first award her first vma and it was fan voted it was her moment and he came up on the stage and took the Mic from a 18 year old girl who is just starting find her foot in the industry... But he still decided to this to a 18 year old
The thing about the political thing was her dad was scared for her life if she says anything, that period was the height of her stalking cases, with ppl breaking into her house and being found with weapons etc, and she'd been falsely labeled as a face of 'republicans', so any little thing that was anti-republican got her so much hate and literal threats to her life... Her dad even mentions that he has to be the dad who goes to pick out armored cars for his daughter because of threats to her safety
She was disappointed in herself about her performance! Though she has definitely been snubbed by the Grammys. :( And regarding the Kim and Kanye stuff, the media and her leaving the industry, the reasons for her political silence (it was a country music reputation thing not her management), and her music being sold out from under her... you should watch her documentary on netflix "Miss Americana" it's not too long and it's actually great!
Kanye had a valid complaint about the VMA awards. Going onto the stage while Taylor Swift accepted her award was not the way to go around it. He could have spoken out about Beyoncé’s video being award worthy at any time after Taylor had left the stage and it would been way more acceptable.
One of the men on her team is her dad who was concerned about Taylor’s safety if she came out against trump bc trump supporters would send her death threats or stalk her.
The reason the part of politics was hard is because yes she is talking to her management team but also her DAD who as he said "was terrified" of what people would do after she released the statement given that was after the whole "taylor swift is over party" which is link to the part of the snake vid. She was forced into a hiatus for a year. So he had valid concerns about her safety but in the end he SUPPORTED his daughter.
if you like selena, you should react to "Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez being best friends for 11 minutes straight" :) they have been friends for over 13 years now!
Please do more vídeos about Taylor, you guys need to see the reputation stadium tour, miss americana (both on Netflix) and the folklore: the long pond Studios on Disney+. You guys will Love It. 🇧🇷 Here. ❤️

At 6:30 she was crying because she thought she missed a note during her performance. But in reality she’s freaking killed it.
The song that she sang was out of the woods

when she was upset at the grammys, it wasn't about the fact that she didn't win. it was that she thought her performance was bad.
