    When you stamp, you seem to want perfection. I rarely get that as well but incorporate it and it looks more "organic" and more part of a personal journal. Don`t sweat it too much. Just use your lines on your block but really just go with it. Your pages always look so nice anyway. I watch another youtuber and she always says " I`m ok with that"

    I’m going back to watch your older stuff, today. I love the flip-throughs, the travel journals, the travel vlog bits. Your style is gorgeous, and I wish I could letter like you. I learn so much from watching you.

    I always peel back the thicker cardboard on the backs of labels to make them thinner 😊 Just in case you wanted less bulk!

      Thanks for the advice Jeanny! Thankfully the cardboard on the box was quite thin. Will definitely keep it in mind next time!

    hahaha! you make me smile ...cereal IS life for you if that's what you're eating for dinner. 😄 can I ask, as you don't leave a lot of room for the writing part of your journal what kind of things do you write about in that space? Your video inspires me to just have fun with my journal.

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Suzi L I usually just write about the events of the day. Nothing too crazy. If I have to spill my guts on to the page, I usually won't decorate the page to maximize writing space. It also helps too have small writing haha! Thank you so much for watching!

    You have to insert scrap paper underneath your previous page because when you're putting the paint on the top, you color also the top of the previous pages also.

    I think the name you are looking for for the calendar is a "daily tear-off" calendar. a calendar where you tear one page per day.

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Eric! I keep fumbling over my words every time I try to describe that calendar and now I have the correct terminology. Thank you!

  • @beadpoet

    Sometimes i'll put the clearblock on a piece of lined paper to get the letters even. Or i line the block to the edge of my desk to get it all straight. Doesn't always work though. :)

    Your journal pages are awesome! Quick and easy, I love how organized your supplies are as well! Is there somewhere stateside we could obtain the paper that looks like Korean letters (upper right background) and the ephemera envelope notebook?

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The envelope notebook is called the Midori B6 Spiral Ring Envelope Notebook and you can purchase it on Amazon! The Korean letter paper might be harder to find but you can find similar papers at World Markets or Asian stationery stores. Hope this helps!

    Hey Job, your videos are great and they inspire me to want to get a midori. I've just got a moleskine diary for this year so I think I'll try make some spreads on the note side of the weekly view. Do you make these every day? It's awesome but I think it could be time consuming? Keep up the vids!

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's awesome Jordan! I had a moleskine in the past and it makes for a great art journal too. I don't make these everyday. Only days when I have more free time in the evening but I do write in my journal everyday. Anyways, thanks for watching!

    hey job. yet another amazing video! pls keep the voice-over 🙏 also could you recommend me where i should get the acrylic stamp set & block in korea? where did you get yours? -from another fellow canadian living alone in seoul

    • @JobsJournal
      @JobsJournal  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! Sorry to reply so late. The acrylic stamp set and block is actually from Canada (Michaels to be exact)! My family sent it over to me a week ago. I'm not too sure but Hangaram seems to have an expansive selection of art and craft supplies. I haven't been before but I've heard great things. It's located in the Express Bus terminal in Seoul. Hope this helps fellow Canadian!

    Like very much your style and straight approach of 'journal' . Only 'missing' thing is more talk about techniques or motivations and less: put some paint, stamp my name, used my white gel pen, do you know what I mean? It's from a good place. You live in a great country, with unique access a non American products... why not explore this interesting side as well as your artistic view... Peace
