- This is a VERY LATE Halloween Animatic I had planned for a while. It took me a lot longer to finish than I hoped since I wanted to colour it completely.

Watching this... it makes my heart hurt. Alphys brought Crystal back to life! And Crystal just wanted to see her family again! Alphys looks so innocent here. She never meant for her experiments to go so wrong. And when she saw what happened, she was so ashamed of herself.
She *is* innocent here. This wasn’t easy for her. It wasn’t easy for any of them.
If only she knew... how dangerous this substance... determination, for monsters is.

When I first played Undertale I was always interested in the Snowdrake family drama, but when I reached MTT Resort and talked to Snowdrake’s Dad and heard that Snowdrake’s mom was dead, my heart broke, thankfully it was mushed together again after I saw the Snowdrake family happy and together again.

And it’s bigger than ever too now that Crystal is fused with 16 Vegetoids.
I can't imagine what she must've been going through. The pain of melting have having two Vegetoids stuck within her like that.
Plus 13 other monsters from what we see from the pacifist ending, they probably got the easy way out by being diluted into either the vegetoids or crystal while their still molten

Since it was liquid determination that made her the way she is, I wanted her to start melting when she was getting determined to go home.

The fact that the _only_ monster i killed in my first playthrough was a single snowdrake, and then i got to MTT resort and his dad was looking for him I'M SO SORRY I DIDNT MEAN IT
I like how you made Alphys not cowardly and regretful, reflects how this is before the amalgamations.
I absolutely love this animatic. The colours blend in perfectly and your style is adorable. Also, I feel really bad for Snowdrake's mother... the whole amalgamation thing is just really saddening.. ;-;

A really smart decision in using music from "Made in Abyss"! Both tracks really add to the overall creepiness and a little bit of the heart-wrenching aspect of it all!
Alas someone finally noticed the soundtrack. I love the anime and manga but hate the author and fandom.

Dude Snowdrake’s mom is my favorite amalgam just because of the story behind her. She’s a monster but she’s not hostile at all, she doesn’t even really attack. She just wants to see Snowy, that’s it. Always the saddest one too

I had just watched a playthrough of Doki Doki Literature Club, so seeing "Get out of my head!" made this extra disturbing.
More than likely, the actual process was most likely alphas giving a small dose of determination to her, but with the initial revival, she slowly started to melt over a course of somewhere from a couple days to weeks, and so alphas gave her more determination to keep her alive, witch worked, but made them melt faster, and so she gave her more, and more to keep her alive, but ultimately dissolving her, and as a last resort tried to fuse her with the vegitoids, causing her to have a more symmetrical appearance, instead of them being placed randomly if they where actually dyeing like shown in the video.
Determination is a powerful drug.
I also wanna know what Gaster was doing back there. Anyway, Crystal looks pretty.

This kinda makes me think about how much alphys is hated in the fandom. When I think there was really no way of her knowing what the determination would do to the monsters injected with it. She had full composure until the moment where everything went to heck

Crystal's body simply couldn't handle the raw determination. A trait shared by all monsters. The goop her body melted into is only partially recognisable. In her words...
"it's... so cold..."

It's the little things in undertale that can scare you the most if you really think about it
For Example:
Flowey Transforming into omega flowey and killing frisk multiple times is truly a Nightmare
Any normal child would Be traumaticly scared forever after that shit
Another Example:
Neutral Run Killing Undyne is highly Disturbing
Since she literally refusing to die and is slowly bit by bit melting
She feels her own body literally Melting while she probably trying her best to refuse
When the only thing she sees while dying is _you_ who killed here and let here die this horrible death

I just found out about snow drakes mother and this has stricken me with not only a kind of fear, but sadness. This part of undertale is really fucked up but I also love it so much. Toby fox is such an awesome creator.

It's so sad, she gets trapped in the lab wanting to see her son Snowy but can't escape. And Snowy's father doesn't support his son trying to become a comedian so Snowy runs away. At least they're together at the end of the pacifist route.

I was actually thinking of doing Deltarune next. The only other Amalgamate that has any interesting backstory with dark lore is Reaper Bird. I'll have to remember why I liked Reaper Bird so much though.
