How the Tweezer Clock Works

JILA researchers built an atomic clock in which laser “tweezers” trap, control and isolate many strontium atoms. The unusual clock is very stable and offers unique possibilities for enhancing clock performance using the tricks of quantum physics. More info: www.nist.gov/n...
