Courageous of you to even start this frightening race, and you have my respect for stepping onto that start line. As an ultra Dad myself, I really appreciate your content. How do you not have 20,000 subscribers? Over the next few months I'm going to binge watch your media. Thanks for posting.
@@UltraDad Congratulations on your 100! That must feel great - now! I've been doing 50Ks for a while, so I am signed up for my first 50M in May, with a covid back-up date in August. Again, thanks for your content which will help me get there.
I finished that year! If I would have known whats was in front of me I probably would have not. You looked a lot stronger than I and I just finished because I had to get down from that damn big hill (could not spell montai..) That last bit was tough! I managed to do it by under one hour left til cut of. Next time you will be less prepared and a lot more hard headed!
Nice Job Dan! Having the realistic feelings throughout the pre-race/race in a raw video blog format is much more influential to me and I'm sure other runners. I liked the ratio of pre-race video to race video and thought your content throughout was well thought out. You will complete it one day and I hope I'm there to aid you in that journey. #brosforlife
Very brave of you to share this, I was signed up for the 50 Miler last year and was a DNS due to the fact my training fell apart and I quit. My plan is to sign up January 2nd for the 50 Miler and redeem myself, or at least try!! Cheers.
Good effort buddy we learn a lot from our dnfs. I am in the fat dog 120 this year and can't wait. Looking forward to seeing your video with you finishing it.
@@UltraDad sweet I most definitely will, i ll be easily identifiable I run in an Australian bush hat lol and I am raising money for a couple of charities so will probably be wearing some loud coloured gear to advertise them. I ll Look forward to seeing you there and at the finish line.
As downing as it must be to have gone all that way and then not finish ... I hope you felt some achievement and reward from doing as much as you did in what I can only imagine is some serious terrain. The views and memories gained I'm sure have made the attempt worth while. Better luck next time
Hey, really enjoyed the video. I quit my first 100miler at 74 miles in 2018. Somehow that DNF made me so much stronger. Good luck and enjoy!
Good job, well done for having the balls to even start.
Thanks. I got some revenge 4 months later at Bandera!

Wow that’s encouraging. Thanks! I’ll be attempting that race again this fall I think. I completed my first 100 miler finally in October!
